That is pretty funny, I went to skate that concrete park in late March and I couldn't get in b/c it was fenced off.

I hope that shitty park goes out of business, the only way a skateboard park could exist in MS is if it was built by the city and was free.

The Oxford, MS park is fun as well, and is a pretty cool town

Fracuture skatepark is a five minute walk from my house and I never go that is how bad it is. The sessions are actually $5 an hour,there is a two dollar spectator fee, the decks are $85, they have sole tech shoes from 05 that they bought from a park that had gotten them from a salvage store, the ceiling is 12 feet and the tallest ramp is 6 feet. It is so fucking awful. To make it even worse Eli Ellard is a compulsive liar. She has said everything from that she is an ex-vert-pro, to that she golfs with Tiger Woods, and even more crazy shit. She has no involvement in skating what so ever. Well now she has adopted a run away from San Diego that she has known for all of two weeks that skates but that is her only relation to skating. She is just a businessman trying to get rich. She owns a restaurant and a chain of coffee shops in the city that i live in. She doesn't need this skatepark it is just one of her schemes. The Petal Mississippi skatepark is a blessing to the skateboarders of Mississippi. Believe it or not there are some bad ass skaters here and we aren't all inbred racist hicks. Just ask Grim I believe he is from Hammond, La. Now this crazy lesbian bitch is trying to ruin the one good thing that we have. If some of you industry guys could leave a comment on the Hattiesburg American site or even email the City of Petal it would be very appreciated. Thanks.

I could see this happening in raleigh, nc. A (shitty) public park was just opened, and at the ribbon cutting a bunch of employees from a local privately owned department store/skatepark showed up lurking off to the side wearing all black as if it was some kind of funeral.

have provided a bit of information regarding Ms. Ellard addressing the BOA on my Cheap Seats thread. Here is a cut and paste from my comments:

Ms. Mary Ellard who is an owner of a skate park in Laurel addressed the BOA during the

Public Comment portion of the meeting. She said that since Petal has opened our new skate park

her business, a fee based skate park, has gone from doing around $4,000 per week to $0 per week.

She presently charges $9 per day to skate at her park and also has a pro shop that sells skate

board parts and accessories. Ms. Ellard was wanting the BOA to start charging those who are

not Petal residents to skate at our park in an effort to keep us from drawing away her customers.

Alderman Moore asked her if while doing her business plan prior to opening her business if

she had researched to find out if there were any other skate parks planned in the area. She said

that she knew that we were building a new skate park but that some (no further information provided)

had told her that it was going to be bulldozed and not opened.

Ms. Ellard then suggested that perhaps she could open a pro-shop at our park, rent free, to help

offset her loss of income in Laurel. She also informed the BOA that there is a video on YouTube

purporting to show a couple of Petal youth smoking and drinking in one of the skate bowls but

when pressed there was really no credible information provided.

Ms. Ellard informed the BOA that she is a single mom and is now 6 weeks pregnant and is in

serious financial danger due to having signed a 5-year lease on her business in Laurel. It was

about that time that Alderwoman Fairley suggested that she meet with Ms. Ellard along with any

other BOA members that wanted to and see if they could come up with some kind of agreement

to work with Ms. Ellard. Fortunately, Alderman Clayton spoke up and said that the BOA needs

to establish criteria regarding how our park will be run and whether or not we are going to lease

out the building for a pro shop. After a request for proposal was defined then Ms. Ellard and

any other interested party could provide their proposal. Thank you David.

Did she adopt or is she harboring a runaway. There is a huge difference one is illegal. maybe you should report her to child protective services and if she's been harboring him @the skatepark it could possibly have is shut down and end this.
