seemed like a good follow-up, and he's down, so bring 'em on for Mr. Philadelphia himself, Ricky Oyola! Lots of history to tap into here...

Yo Ricky, first question right here: where'd the term "piss-pedaling" come from?

Fuck man... You have been one of my favorites since I started.  I don't know too much about you off the board, your skating and style speaks for itself.

When is Rich Adler gonna get his name on a board?

Heard anything from Matt Reason recently?

Talk some shit on people who talk some shit on you here.
I liked that you had a nollie 'tre' (that's Spanish) in a line in your 60 seconds or whatevs from Vox, it shows you can skate flat and win a freestyle contest, do you like the Sal 23 to skate in?

First of all ricky, you truly inspired my skateboarding from so early on while i was stuck in a hick town in the middle of washington state in the mid 90's, so thanks for that.
1.how freaked out were you that you almost went to prison/jail in australia for a fight? what happened exactly?

2.If you could cherry pick any 3 skaters for traffic from there respectful teams or bring them back from obscurity who would it be and why?

3.If dan wolfe would have never started filming what level of exposure would the east have ever have gotten (if any) and were there any other filmers you would hook up with back then that could have had a similar impact on your scene?

4.how did you end up riding for z roller?

 thanks for your time rick.

Can you tell us about Roger Brown and the early days at LOVE?

I saw some of your never ending lines that ran across the street to City Hall and Municipal, back into LOVE, can you remember the sequence of some of these marathons.

Can you tell us if you ever had a favorite line at LOVE? Whether it was the hardest to work for or the best feeling flow line?

What can you tell us about the Acme video and that time period?  All I can kind of remember is you and Reason skating a subway 10? set?

Any hometown or unsung heroes growing up who influenced your style, tricks, speed?

Thanks for the inspiration.

you're getting up there in age...do you think static II will be your last full video part? even so, it sure kept your career going for 5+ years which is pretty unusual for the ADD industry.

what was it like when the think/thrasher crew came through philly in 94? I always imagined that to have been such a great time, it seemed like you guys were doing what every other skateboarder would have been doing. do you think the industry's changed so much that a tour stop like that couldn't really go down anymore? it'd be cool if you could talk about some experiences with mike hernandez and hamilton harris as well.

Do you get bummed when you see footage of people skating spots you skated first?
Did you know that you are constantly brought up on this message board, mostly in the context of "If it isn't Ricky Oyola skating a cellar door you guys hate on it" ? What do you think about the fact that some of the most notorious rather-go-on-the-internet-than-skate nerds think you are cool?
