He's def one of the gnarliest out rn. I honestly expected more after the halfcab back Smith

Anybody else remember when it was a stereotype that black people didn't do rails? When did that change?

growing up i remember seeing guys like sheffey, alphonso rawls, and kevin taylor skate rails, so this stereotype is something ive never heard/thought of.
Don't forget Kareem. His Trilogy part had a ton of rails.

Edit: while we are on the topic, 2 of the first 3 kink rails done were by Sheffey and Tyrone Olson. If you believe Steve Celentani's date on that video, Tyrone's might have even been before Gonz?

Edit 2: when I paste Steve's Facebook link it embeds the video but makes all the text in my comment disappear. Add this to the end of Facebook.com

Oldest clip of a flip onto a handrail that I know of was done by Sal Barbier, and Clyde Singleton has been going at rails fakie forever. New gen has Forrest, Windsor, and this guy named Nyjah something... so that is quite the baseless

He's gnarly. I feel like he's more well rounded that this part showed. Maybe he'll have a part soon with more tranny skating, and another at the end of the year with ledge/tech stuff.
Because you can't kill and idea, and we will not be ruled!

the visuals are also mad visual yo

Zion only needs something like US army as a sponsor and he is ready for the olympics.

Not hating on him though. Looks like he is enjoying and it must feel nice to do all that grarly shit he is doing.

I actualy didnt mind him looking like that^,

the redbull cap with a airforce-bomberjack + red white dunks, like an all american hero, the american dream personified

He should go balls out, embrace that lame-ness but throw away the camo's with elastics at the bottom

also footage was good

Didn’t it have a police badge on it, too?

My only real complaint with the code was that it was edited by a “generic skate part” software program.  You could literally put any song to that edit job.  Fall Back needs short, punchy clips.  Not establishing shots and post trick nonsense

That was incredible. Congrats to Zion and Real (and I suppose Red Bull as well).

I can see where the 'athlete' criticism comes. Some of the rail tricks just feel like dull filler. And seeing that Zion clearly has the talent to skate a more diverse set of obstacles (the full pipe and insane South Bank 360) makes me wish he would branch out a bit.
But, overall I thought that was a great part, and I'm about as jaded as they come.

Also, that Hollywood High trick was nuts. Seriously think about that trick for a second.
The Warm Up Zone. Let's watch some skateboarding videos.

He doesn't do real FS bigspins and it bugs me. He catches it after it rotates once, and turns the rest of it with his body. That's not a bigspin.

That's my only complaint.

Heavy. In the running for SOTY 4 sure.

If soty goes to another how-many-kinks rail skater this year thats gonna be such a bummer. Not that I ever cared for soty much, I'm just tired of current rail skating.  Foy definitely deserved it, but would have been nice to see louie or tiago get it last year.
only in skateboarding is putting an adult in a position where they might have to actually work for their income "ruining their life"  ::)

Fucking hell that was heavy! And the music was good in my opinion. As usual with these "internet parts" I find there isn't enough lines? Maybe I'm wrong.

Shouldn’t the song order be switched?

I feel like most of these web parts are just plagiarizing Transworld Ty Evans but using Girl Ty Evans tech and that’s why it just feels so forced.

Backtail was real nice. But this guy has such boring trick selection and spot selection. Foy is the same, the way their parts are edited, music, tricks, spots are just super forgetable. Make it interesting if you're that good.

It’s because these kids grew up with Baker 3 and not Baker 2G.  They got the slick Hollywood sequel, not the gritty indie flick
