What's your favorite skateshop? Brick and mortar and online.
My fave local shop is Val's Surfshop. Online is Tactics.

Rip City here in Santa Monica - great selection most of the time but limited as most LA shops (had to go into the fucking MALL to fucking Zumiez and the Xtreme (ugh) boardshop 'XB' or whatever to letm my kid pick out truck for her birthday - but damn if the XB shop didn't have a massive selection of decks and trucks (a big ass box of ACE 44s behind the counter took me by surprise) and I was able to stand on a bunch of decks I've been eyeing which is great as the local Active closed. But the fucking MALL.

Online Socal/Skate Warehouse depending on needs (SW has faster shipping by a day or two usually); I'll make the hour+ drive (each way) once a year or so for kicks.

You'd think being LA, especially on the West Side that there would be more core shops, real skate shops other than Rip City and to some extent, Venice Originals, instead of having to go to the boutique shop shit around Fairfax or sadly, the mall.

Xen, i dont live in LA, but is Lottie's any good?

my fav is Blue Tile Lounge in Toronto. They've got an online store as well for any canadians looking to avoid paying duties.

https://bluetilelounge.ca/

they're currently working on a new vid that'll be out soon which should be dope as theyve got morgan smith, bobby dekeyzer, jed anderson, lee yankou and a bunch of other sick locals on the team

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d38b-HmdWy8

Old Adrift in Toronto when it was on augusta was awesome too. loved going there as a kid to watch videos and skate in the back in the winter.

Nocturnal in Philly! Ambler Skate Shop is sick too if you're in the Philly 'burbs.

Went to Bill's Wheels in Santa Cruz before I knew what it was. Holy SHIT that place is INCREDIBLE. I've never seen that many skateboards in one place, let alone legit pieces of skateboarding history.

All time favorite, but I recently moved to Kansas City and Escapist is really cool.

Skate Warehouse always wins me over if I'm online with those random sales they do too though.

So many good shops

Labor - the Owner, James really makes you feel at home and their product selection is alway on point

Homebase - Bethlehem Pa, this shop is great. I’ve never seen a shop support not just the local skate community but the local community in general as much as this shop. They have recently opened a second shop that has cool vintage clothing too.

Armada - Charlotte NC. great product selection here too. They got whatever hard goods you’re looking for and they also have a great sense of community.

Humidity. I’ve had an experience here that’s already mention before. Show up from out of town and get hooked up with spots and what to do at night. .

Tons more but those are my top of the list picks. I did not proof read this

Chucky's skate shack was the first shop anywhere near me (5 hours away). It consisted of a padlocked shed in a suburban backyard where a fat guy named chucky who as far as i know never skated, lived with his mom. You'd ring the doorbell and hear the mom yelling for chucky, then  after awhile he'd appear and take you around back where you could buy an Armando Barajas everslick, or a pair of size 42 Plenty jeans. Those were the days.

Ninetimes is a great shop
SHRN is good too and has an espresso maker.
Search and Destroy has the best magazine and book selection
Dime has the best parties
Can't forget Antisocial

I'd save my lunch money and ditch school, ride bart in to the city, take the 6 or 7 bus up to Haight and go to FTC when it was on Shrader. Then I'd get a rap tape from Amoeba and eat some McDonalds.  FTC is still my favorite shop, I just hate going up there now.

Online, Tactics.

My favorite shop was Threds and Sleds in Haddonfield NJ. RIP.

Nocturnal- Had a lot of friends working there on and off over the years. My last apartment in Philly was on S. 5th so I'd still just skate or ride my bike over a couple times a week. A lot of the time just to chill and waste time.

Kinetic- Awesome dudes, running an awesome shop in Wilmington, DE. If you're semi close to it in DE/South Jersey/PA I'd advise checking it out then skating 7th street. It's a super nice diy park.

Humidity- I have lots of family in NOLA, but never got to check it out til my last trip during Halloween. It rules. The dudes who worked there were sick. No vibes. They're cool and genuinely seem like they want to talk to you. As someone who doesn't quite identify as cool, it made me feel cool. Not to mention they carry pretty much only carry the brands I like including ones I hadn't seen in any shops before.

Orchard- It's really sick and the bowl is cool. People are nice too.

This is getting kinda tiresome. I like most shops I've ever been too. I like going and checking out new shops, it's kinda neat.

Lived in Chicago for awhile and never hit Uprise. I used to live off Bryn Mawr and Howard red line and only hit that shop off of Sheridan(?). I'll be back at the end of the month so I hope to finally drop by.
