Cal Surf is fucking great

Surprised no one else's mentioned Uprise yet. Definitely my favorite shop in Chicago
[close]

Lived in Chicago for awhile and never hit Uprise. I used to live off Bryn Mawr and Howard red line and only hit that shop off of Sheridan(?). I'll be back at the end of the month so I hope to finally drop by.
The shop you're talking about is Citizen on Wilson. James is a rad dude and they sponsor my homie too. They do shit at Wilson every so often and I've gotten old shoes/decks from their used bin when I was broke. They definitely deserve an honorable mention because they've been holding it down for a sec.

I saw your mom do a ollie to cooch drop straight down the big black pole, it was gnarly. she defiantly shut that shit down

Supreme.

Nah just kidding, I used to love Special Sauce in Long Island before they closed their doors almost a decade ago though. Man I miss that place...
At least when you're a washed-out hipster douchebag in NY, you can milk it at some decent looking, hard to skate spots. In LA you're just a tan-lined faggot in a school yard somewhere.

Bill's Wheels in Santa Cruz is #1 for me. I shopped there as a kid and Bill gave me a job when I was 17, which I worked on and off for like 6 or so years. I've spent so much time there it literally feels more like home to me than my own parents' house at this point.

My favorite shop was Threds and Sleds in Haddonfield NJ. RIP.

Nocturnal- Had a lot of friends working there on and off over the years. My last apartment in Philly was on S. 5th so I'd still just skate or ride my bike over a couple times a week. A lot of the time just to chill and waste time.

Kinetic- Awesome dudes, running an awesome shop in Wilmington, DE. If you're semi close to it in DE/South Jersey/PA I'd advise checking it out then skating 7th street. It's a super nice diy park.

Humidity- I have lots of family in NOLA, but never got to check it out til my last trip during Halloween. It rules. The dudes who worked there were sick. No vibes. They're cool and genuinely seem like they want to talk to you. As someone who doesn't quite identify as cool, it made me feel cool. Not to mention they carry pretty much only carry the brands I like including ones I hadn't seen in any shops before.

Orchard- It's really sick and the bowl is cool. People are nice too.

This is getting kinda tiresome. I like most shops I've ever been too. I like going and checking out new shops, it's kinda neat.

forever the best shop

Holistic Skateshop in Reading, PA. The owner is a genuine as they come and always makes sure the shop is stocked with the best stuff. He's been cool in letting me place special orders and letting me know when something I want has just landed in the shop.

Online store is Tactics for certain. Quick shipping and their customer service is helpful. Skatewarehouse is next in line.

Exit in Philly is my favorite. Everyone that works there is super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the stuff they carry.

Pacific Drive in SD has got to be the best location in the US for a skate shop—one block from the Pacific Ocean. Plus, Truman Hooker works there, so it’s cool to be waiting on by a legitimate skater.

In NJ times is tough for skate shops. Closest one to me is Prime. NJ skate shop had 4 locations but is down to two. Division East is closed. Just Learned Threads and Sleds is closed.

Didn’t Thrasher or Transworld used to publish a list? I used like to see how many shops each state had.

Circle A in San Jose, Bobs a cool dude.

I had a Circle A Bob Couch Guy deck around 1990 - see sig. Still one of my favorite graphics.

These days I'm a Tactics guy.   They have a brick and mortar less than a block from my office.

Salty Peaks in SLC! Raddest collection of old school skateboards hanging from the ceiling, and Dennis is the man.
Raunch too.

Online has gotta be skatewarehouse.

Plus Orlando.

All day.

Then SkateWarehouse online. The promos they do and the free shipping both ways are solid.

Xen, i dont live in LA, but is Lottie's any good?

my fav is Blue Tile Lounge in Toronto. They've got an online store as well for any canadians looking to avoid paying duties.

https://bluetilelounge.ca/

they're currently working on a new vid that'll be out soon which should be dope as theyve got morgan smith, bobby dekeyzer, jed anderson, lee yankou and a bunch of other sick locals on the team

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d38b-HmdWy8

Old Adrift in Toronto when it was on augusta was awesome too. loved going there as a kid to watch videos and skate in the back in the winter.

I live about 2-3 miles form Lotties so its the closest shop to me and yes they are a good one to go to. Good atmosphere, good people working there, and a lot of locals hanging around skating in the front. It gives it that old school feel of a shop where grooms go there to hang out before session. Met the owner Mike and hes super cool, went there yesterday actually to get one of their shop tees. They typically do a couple of one of a kind one of's tees for their shop. Saw the land before time one and just had to get it.

Iv'e also been to Rip City. Good little shop with a huge collection of rare boards on the walls and ceiling. Told the owner i would keep bugging him for the Gonz Beemer board he had but so far no dice.
