so maybe im showing my age a bit with this post, but i do actually prefer some muska flips over regular frontside flips.. . sometimes!

now the really vertical ones are where the board doesn't really flip, those are not really my favorite (granted those are the technical muska flips i guess)

i like the ones where its more of like a shuvit kickflip body varial...

some of the catch 90 are nice.. if they catch at like 120 or something, i like those better..

this trick was hard for me... i can do the hardflip one... but it is like a throw-it and hope...

the 90 degree one is something i want to start trying more.

Which do you guys prefer?

also which can you do ? one or other or both??

if you can do the muska type ones, any tips for me as well?

If it's popped high and caught properly then a musks flip is going to be the winner, however most peoples muska flips are nothing but curb high pressure flips.

i cant frontside flip all horizontal like but the muska flip is a definite go to

Muska flips kinda blow imo, i never got too hyped from seeing anyone bust one. Somebody posted a real vid today and Ben Liversage had crazy frontside kfs.

Penny's were not Muska flips though. He is a legend but to compare those two is just way too generous to Muska. I mean, what looks best is subjective of course, but the horizontal way to fs flip is certainly the version that requires the most control. Personally I also think they look better. Muska flips were akin to the yo-flip trend, everyone started doing them but eventually proper pop and catch returned, because that's where it is at.

So I had a thread going about which eye is dominate and from my weird tenure in skating I've got both fs flips on lock but switch looks like proper pop flick catch whereas goofy I do Muska flips every fucking time. If I were to choose between I'd do Muska flips all day.
