One product causes more grief and waste than all others, and that’s...Grip tape Imagine for a second that instead of the sticky sandpaper we use now, we used a thin sheet of smooth (or textured) rubber, that gave the same amount of grip, yet was easy to clean, and could use when wet. Years ago I read about such a product, but it was allegedly drummed out by the shoe companies, who depend on people wearing thru shoes quickly. In this age where more and more skaters are giving a shit about the environment, if this ever made a comeback, it could change how shoes are designed, the materials used (no longer need super-durable environmentally unfriendly uppers), and how many shoes are kept out of landfills. All we need is a company willing to take that risk.[close]

A kid at the park had this stuff I think and it's a good idea but no way it grips the same, the edges wear too. Makes your board feel like a snow skate. I never knew that mob comes in 1-5 coarseness? Always thought just mellow grip had a market. I usually rub grip with the left overs to get that first heavy layer off...I think that's what kills shoes the most is new grip. After it gets broken in its chill....

tk got mad and put kader in the sky.
So I guess I'm the only one who uses shoe goo
I'm going to argue that Placebo owes their entire career to a Canadian dude's skate video part. Appleyard should be getting royalties for this shit.
Impish sausage is definitely gonna blow up as a euphemism this year
I reckon this would be a good alternative too:skate shoes need to get recycled again!
Crazy glue....then shoe goo....I prefer Jessup too....
