Most stylish simple shit
« on: June 20, 2018, 09:18:57 AM »
After perusing the “switch switch” thread it got me thinking about how a lot of times my favorite and most rewatched tricks in a part are the most basic things.  Might be because they are more relatable to me as a talentless, 30-something skater.  I also think a persons style shines through best when they aren’t worried about going big or technical and just going on autopilot.

Por ejemplo:

Second trick, bs 180

1:49

The whole line starting at 1:14

Love that Nguyen line at 1:14, so stylish and effortless. I like how you can see his homeboy lurking in the background after that back crook followed by the fs180 with so much pop and him swinging his hips around at the apex of the jump. that whole part is just killer.

John Lucero's part in Label Kills is the epitome of simple-but-stylish for me

A nicely tweaked backside air of any height does it for me.
