Redrilling holes in decks
« on: June 30, 2018, 06:51:02 AM »
I have a couple decks I mostly like the shape of but want the tail and hose holes about an inch closer to where the tail/nose starts to angle. Has anyone had any problems with boards breaking easier when they re-drill holes? I’m planning on just filling the okd ones with wood putty/filler and figure that should work fine but I just figured I would see if any of you have any input.

Thanks!

Cool, thanks! I remember some of the older decks (late 80’s, early 90’s) being double drilled like that but haven’t seen newer, narrower decks like that around so I wasn’t sure if it was a thing or not. :)

Don't think filling the holes will add any strength, maybe just make it look better aesthetically.

Yeah, I think you are right. That’s the main reason I would do it I think
