TEMPLE is a conceptual monochrome short film, following skateboarder Sammy Montano on a journey through the Balkans and its fallen monuments.

It was essential to transcribe them with respect according to our vision, to spiritualize the expression of their magnificent forms, timeless aesthetics and monumental dimensions. Confronting them with skateboarding allowed us to animate this notion of freedom and exploration.

Sammy Montano places himself as a central witness, being both the representation of this quest but also its outcome. It represents the doubt that animates each of us in the face of the unknown and this constantly renewed desire to take step in search of the answers to our deepest beliefs.

Most of those spots are in Croatia. City footage is from Split, Croatia.
I recognize one monument in Slovenia and one is in Bosnia.

There was similar video with Marek Zaprazny

This more about artistic presentation than about skateboarding. Albeit the voiceover is a bit corny yet I thought this was done quite well.. Those monuments intrigue me too. Shapes! I might have to pilgrim there to see them myself some day..

it was trite all around,

yea those sculptures are cool,
but as a 'artistic presentation' the video added nothing, nor did it have any redeeming qualtiies editingwise,
tired voice over over some artsy dutch angles,
played out music with glitchy transitions,

They couldnt even keep the non existing theme going and had to add some handrails/spots for spice...

seriously any other project involving spomeniks would've been better
