So should I skate his otherness board? It’s sitting in the pile, but idk, maybe it’ll be worth something.

The similarities are there-bald, white trash 'ideas men' from the East Coast who seem to enjoy fucking things up in public, for our entertainment and their detriment.

The similarities are there if you just randomly list attributes of each and pretend they are things in common.  Not sure when Ideas Man Vallely was ever a thing

I hope he uses B&C to do a pile of weird micro brands. MJ's ideas don't follow a consistent narrative so having a way to do free-form branding could help get his ideas out while avoiding being stifled by staying within a single brand's design /messaging standards.

Ill give this 6 month's. MJ seems to have bad ADD. He will come out hard and then have a mental break down when he realizes its not 2007 and people have moved on and arent buying his brand and are buying Grimple Stix instead. That would fuck any company/business owner up

cool idea for MJ. instead of trying to build an focused aesthetic, have very defined "seasons." almost a high fashion house vibe.

I'm definitely a Marc Johnson fan and I'm definitely not interested in a Marc Johnson board brand. I'm getting the vibe that he thinks he's too cool to ride for a Dwindle brand, which would really be his best case scenario at this point.

"BUSINESS & COMPANY" sounds like the first coffee shop that opens up and gentrifies a neighborhood. Or a 13-year old's idea of a sophisticated and mysterious brand name.

The Back Forty turned out really great huh (and that was with Kenny Anderson <3 )

social media gave MJ a platform to really expose himself and who he really is off his board which should have been kept behind the curtain. There are a lot of pros that suffer from this social media thing. Koston and Berra and the Nazi immediately come to mind.

Oh cool point being that they both have egos that are known to be dominant and hard to work with.

when a pro you grew up admiring turns out to be a dick on instagram it's like the same feeling as when you find out an old girlfriend you still care for cheated on you with luke from the soccer team.
you kind of guessed it at the time and just tried to ignore it even though it's been in the back of your mind, souring the whole situation for you. now years later you're confronted with it as plain simple fact.

you're a grown man and it shouldn't matter to you anymore but you still can't shake it and move on.
