Gnarly skating, but I'm not really a fan of Chris Gregson's edits.

For someone who obviously spends an awful lot of time doing some of the most intense vert and pool skating I have ever seen, he looked really good doing that Fs Half Cab Flip into the ditch. Gregson's edit does not grab me either, but the line at 01:03 was filmed insanely good.

As far as tranny dudes go, this dude is pretty gnarly, but I've totally burnt out on skatepark footage at this point. Too many rules in skating is wack, but I can't help but miss the days when it was a no-no to use skatepark footage in a part. Ahh well... he's good enough to deserve coverage, and that's what he skates, so that's what we get.

I skated with Clay a lot at his local park when I lived in SC. We were a lot older than him but he’d always get off the ramp and come skate the small pyramid with us and give us props when we’d land our shitty tricks over the corner. Like it or not it’s insane to see him skating at this level now.

What days were these that didn't allow skatepark footage? For a tranny guy even?

Touche'. That 'rule' was more regarding street footage and still stands for the most part. I guess there's just a lot more tranny dudes now which means more all-skatepark footy parts. At least skipping a part online is easier and quicker than having to fast forward a vhs tape.

No name? Or SPOG? Clay was always a cool kid. Never saw him turn into an adult. But he’s fucking crazy on a board. I’ll always watch a clip if I know he’s involved. Attacking vert padless seems like he scariest shit ever.
Maybe I'm just so cool I wanna die.

Haha. No Name is where I always saw him although I skated spog several times as well. He was always a super nice kid. He was probably 13-15 then. A few years back I was down there visiting, skating Twin and he showed up and had grown like a solid foot and destroyed that place. Still, never thought he’d be where he’s at. Good for him

Agreed,  no skatepark footage allowed,  he should have never used that ender,  how can you even consider that.

Insane part. Loved that huge kickflip to fakie on the vert ramp bank. Loved about everything

Shit, I simply can't process someone doing some of this padless... terrifying to witness.

The seemingly impossible vans combi bowl transfer, me gusta.
Makes me think, anybody knows what happened to Alex Chalmers after Sorry?

Real life.

But actually, that relates to my original post. Alex was pretty much the king of concrete park skating during that era, but since that was almost all he skated he was overshadowed by the rest of the Flip team... even Rune, who skates 90% vert. Being a skatepark skater was just much less marketable/popular then. There was no demand for his boards, so they stopped making them and that was pretty much that. Amazing skater, but unfortunately the arena in which he performs best lacks a lot of the aesthetic appeal that draws people to skate media.

This part and the Jimmy Wilkins part were so insane I don't think they register on most people's radar.

Maybe there isn't a gimmick or a big personality or whatever but objectively, these dudes are way beyond a lot guys who have gotten far more love on here.
