Who still makes 7.75
« on: August 01, 2018, 02:37:38 PM »
I cant flick my board very well due to my achilles and plantar fasciitis so I skate small boards because it's slightly less stressful on my feet to flip the board.

Dwindle makes 7.75 and basically any size
baker has a few
Real has a couple
Element
crail boards

anyone else see any companies that arent these guys still making small shapes? ( under 8')
Also super fucking hard to find a small board at a shop... The struggle is real, unless the shop has an old ass discount bin.
Shouldn’t it be “Cory Kennedy off Nike”?  Pretty sure there’s a way to edit titles of threads.

I've had a few polar boards in 7.8.  I know Traffic will still make some as well.

shortys has the one graphic but honeslty I know I shouldnt be picky, but the bottom three are the only ones id be interested in.

can't really go to a shop to get small boards either, not to many shops around here dont have 7.75 boards (Vancouver, Menu, boardroom kits, the drive, skull skates has blank small boards but theyre blank :/ none of them have under 8 in stock)  I aint bout that special order shit either

fuck me right

I’ve been keeping a 7.75 in the quiver just for fun. Chapman makes pretty much all of their graphics in 7.75 and it is a great shape...31.56 long with a 14.25 wheelbase.

Currently have this one set up with some venture lows and 50mm wheels:

If you like a lot of concave and can deal with a blank, the mini logo 7.75 isn’t bad either.

I’m riding a 7.75 at the moment with venture 5.0’s it’s and old shop board though..
I like it but I can’t skate anyways so it don’t matter

Primitive have lots of smaller sizes I don’t like the graphics but the foils are aight
If you don’t mind primitive.. they mustn’t sell well coz I see em in older stock here if i Remember correctly

Santa Cruz does a 7.8 too

Mini Logo still makes a 7.75 and they are cheap.  They have some on the skateone.com site that are $20 if you buy two or more.

When I rode 8s in 1995 I would just grab whatever the only 8" deck in the shop was. I had a lot of stupid looking graphics. I learned not to care. I pretty much still don't and it's a surprise when I get one that isn't heinous.

Palace makes a few from time to time. I never understood why the over 8 inch trend was ever a thing though. Growing up, I only had one friend who rode 8.5’s and he had to buy blankdecks.com boards just to ride them, and he’s a 6’3 guy with a size 14 shoe so it seemed logical. Now, you have people pretending to do impossibles with shoddy 360 shoves because their board is too big for their small foot to actually wrap around. Hopefully you guys are correct and smaller boards come back...
At least when you're a washed-out hipster douchebag in NY, you can milk it at some decent looking, hard to skate spots. In LA you're just a tan-lined faggot in a school yard somewhere.

I started getting a lot better when I went back to college and started taking a lot of math classes when I was 31.

I figured out how to figure things out better, if that makes sense.
