Was in the back of my local right before a habitat demo in 2007. Uncle Freddy walks back and asks me where the bathroom was. He went in, bathroom doesn’t have a fan, I Fred had the shits and let out a lot of sighs of relief, then flushes, I didn’t hear the sink run, walks out and shakes my hand and introduces himself. Haven’t washed my hands since.

Sat a row behind Danny Way on a flight from Norfolk, VA (VA Beach area) to (Ironically) DC.  It's like a 30 min flight, super small plane.  It was the morning after my good friend's wedding and they had a brunch with morning drinks, so I was drunk and hung over at the same time.  I knew it was him b/c every thing he wore/had (clothes, luggage, etc. was either QS or DC.  I was wearing Lakais and some skate related shirt.  When we deplaned I was too fucked to talk to him, but he saw my shoes and gave me the head nod.

During the filming of Think’s “Business As Usual” I got to drive around with them a couple times showing them spots. On the way back from one of the trips Josh Mathews was talking on the phone with someone and referred to me as “some kid.” I’m only one or two years younger than the dude, so in my head I was thinking “Really guy? Some kid?” I will now always think of him as a poor mans Danny Brady. Lee Yankou was cool as fuck, Russ Milligan was chill, Cody McEntire was really quiet but cool.

I filmed Justin Strubing do a perfect nollie 270 pivot fakie at 3rd and Army when they had the lil DYI quarterpipe setup still. I was just filming my friend and poached his trick. We made eye contact right after but I’ve always been pretty shy so I just didn’t say anything. Used it in our homie vid.

I walked by Tommy Guerrero on the street right after his Nine Club interview came out. I was in a hurry and just yelled out “I liked your Nine Club interview!” real fast. “Thanks man!” Kept walking.

Ran into Jake Johnson and Al Davis with some chick at Baker Beach the day after the SF GX1000 premiere. Upon seeing them I just yelled out “GX1000! …video was dope!”  “Gracias,” said Jake Johnson. Apparently I do a thing where I yell stuff I like at pros.

When that Emeryville DIY spot was still there I did a lil baby roll up the circular pole jam thing to fakie and Karl Watson looked genuinely stoked and clapped for me. I was just surprised because there was nothing at all difficult to the trick.

Richie Jackson texted me once. He wanted to check out some spots I knew of but never followed through. I still have his number which is kind of weird.

I went to a super preppy southern college.  One of my first times I went to DC I was visiting this girl I knew at Georgetown.  It was Sunday and she had to study for mid-terms, so I just took a walk around the city.  I ran into these two girls that lived in my dorm and they showed me some of the sights.  We stumbled across Freedom Plaza/Pulaski and I was in awe.  There were like 20 dudes skating.  One of the girls goes, "That's my friend Andy from high school."  Ended up being Andy Stone.

I was dressed like a southern frat boy.  Khakis, plaid button down, brown shoes, etc.   We talked to him for awhile and he was cool.  I wanted to get a trick at a legendary spot so I asked to borrow his board.  He says, "Ok, just don't break it" in kind of a dick tone.  I don't think he thought I really skated.  I did a killer nose slide to fakie on one of the ledges first try and was stoked.

A couple weeks ago I was at a skatepark, and as I was leaving on my board, I saw a very sweaty Danny Garcia wearing a wife beater, velour sweatpants, and some Jordan 1's. I got caught staring and immediately got my front wheels stuck in a crack, which he saw. We ended up going the same direction and I said, "Sorry, that's what fanning out looks like." He was really nice, shook my hand, and told me he was playing basketball at the court next to the park. Motherfucker oughta be skateboarding...

I was playing Hold ‘Em at the Hustler Casino one night in 2012. Rickk Howard and Matt Schnurr sat down at the table I was playing at, while Tim Gavin watched. I ended winning a pretty big pot that Rick and I ended up playing heads up, and he wasn’t too happy. I immediately said, “Sorry about that, but I love your part from Virtually Reality”. They started laughing though, and Gav bought me a beer for “taking that prick’s money”. It was tight.

That's probably the best story in this thread.

Was skating Redfern skatepark in Sydney around 2011-2012. Van pulls up and out pours Dylan, AVE, Angel Ramirez (for some reason), Sammy Winter, Chima and a couple other guys. I stop skating immediately and start watching. I was having a cigarette at one end of the park, Dylan skates over and on the way does the most beautiful kickflip I've ever seen. He pulls out a smoke and asks me for a lighter. I'm shaking, fumbling around my pockets rushing trying to find this thing and he reaches down to the floor, laughs and says "This it?". I barely get out a "Yeah man" and he thanked me and skated off. Best moment of my life.

Let me preface this by saying I have met quite a few celebrities, heros, pro skaters etc and it has been cool and normal lol.

Tyshawn came into my old work and I def stared at him uncomfortably long to the point where he was prob wondering why tf this dude keeps looking at him.

I was just tryna figure out who he was lol. I recognized him but couldn’t figure it out for a minute (the adidas and supreme gear finally made it click).

being around Reynolds was prob the closest ive been to “starstruck”. As far as people I’ve fanboy’d my whole life the Boss is pretty high on the list. I wasn’t really star struck more like.... I had the chance to say what’s up and pussied out. I didn’t have shit to say anyway.  There was really no reason for him to hear me say “durrr I like your frontside flips”. I decided to just leave it alone. Maybe I awkwardly head nodded at him when we walked passed each other lmao.

Once I tried to go to a Real demo and they showed up pretty late. I was in my school's choir at the time and had to leave to go back to the event. As I was leaving and they were rolling in I said what's up. Nate Jones told me "don't go to school maaaaaaan!"

I said hi to Darren Navarette once at burnside, and told him I had rider a few of his 151 boards. His response was "cool, but I am so stoned right now"

A friend of mine went to the KOTR meet up when it happened in Wisconsin, and I ended up talking to Josh Kasper on the phone. I said hi and told him to do a benihana. Apparently he had just done one in a challenge.

Karl Watson said hi to me personally at pier 7, as well as everyone else there. He's the nicest dude. Same session Wu Welsh just parked his car on the sidewalk, and I got to see him do a back noseblunt. It was pretty dope.

Met Dylan at Black one night. He was talking to my girl and I rudely interrupted, shook his hand and left. Sorry Dylan, but I just had to.

I misread this story as this and I prefer it my way

I met Salman Agah at a Warped Tour. He was nice, signed my shirt, and shook my hand, but clearly felt a little weird about signing an autograph to some little kid that never actually said a single word to him and just sorta shoved a Sharpie into his hand.

Was skating skating Hawthorne skatepark once when Daewon pulled up solo and skated the park about a total of 5 minutes and left. He charged so fast to the manny pad and did a switch fs shuv fakie manny right in front of me then went to the tranny and did a fs tail 270. I was shook, wanted to at least say hi but I was too stunned.

I had to pleasure to see Antwuan Post Baker 3 Pre face tatts skate also at the Hawthorne park. He became a regular but that was one of the only times he actually skated. Did a ollie backfoot heel on flat on request. I remember bailing an inward heel when he came right behind me and did it first try, pretty much never tried that trick again.

Smoked hash (that was laced with something) with Sheffey and Gall at a party in an old mansion during one of the classic era Slam City Jams. Had a laugh with Sheffey about a demo he did in eastern Canada in 1990.

The first time I ever met Sam Devlin he tried to fight me because he thought I 'ratted him out' about throwing a girl's bike off the roof of a skatepark. I had no idea what he was talking about. He was cool from that point on and I used to see his mom all the time on the bus.

In the bathroom at the Berrics, Malto comes in to piss, farts while he's pissing and giggles, then leaves without washing his hands. Weird thing is I have met one other person who had the same experience.

I was in the bathroom at a house where a vert pro was staying when they were robbed at gunpoint by gang members (a dealer lived in the house and they took his shit), had no idea what was going on until I came out and saw 2 guys running out the door aiming guns at a car that was peeling out.

Got ticketed by under covers for not having a helmet at the old Santee park with Dobstaff and Coyne, hadn't even skated yet. They tried to argue for me, but the cop wasn't having it. Even weirder, I originally met Coyne because I was skating down the street and he stopped as he was driving by and basically just asked a complete stranger to go skate. Turned out Shockus lived right there and we rolled in for a hang. Best dude, R.I.P. I have a few funny Shokus/Coyne stories.

Shit, there's lots more... might post again if I remember anything noteworthy.

I once bumped into Dave Baschinsky on the dance floor of  a bar.

We danced together for like 2 songs.

One of them was probably Madonna.

Once was in a car outside of a ski resort in Tahoe with my buddy who was hurt and couldn't ski and Karl Watson randomly walked by and recognized us since we're from the East Bay and said what's up, which was pretty cool since I don't know if we'd ever had an actual conversation with him.

Also saw Kenny Anderson at LES in like 2011-early 2012 and I just asked him if pappalardo would have a part in the chocolate video, he was like "Naw I don't think so."

I met Koston standing in line at a Whole Foods in Atlanta. I asked what he was doing in town and he said they were on a FourStar tour.  As I walked out Malto was skating up to the door and when I got to my car their van was parked right next to me with the doors open. I saw BA and some other dudes inside, I just waved at everyone and drove off.

I jacked a parking spot from Nora V,and she stared me down all pissed while I just gave her an awkward look realizing who she was.

Vanessa Torres and Allysha Le photobombed my Vans skatepark id photo, sorta wish I had a print of it for novelty.

Leaving a record store once I held the door open for Jeff Lenoce, and he instantly stopped mumbling to himself as I was staring all stoked in silence.

I shook Grosso's hand in a Hot Topic, and said I wished we weren't in this store,he laughed uncomfortably then I just dipped.  Seen him around a bit more, and it's less strange.

Had a drunk conversation with John Lucero, but all I remember is talking about Tecate.

Damn I left my bubbler at my parents house

I saw Alex Olson at a vegetarian restaurant in Greenpoint and waived hello.  It was pouring rain & he looked really frustrated.  We made eye contact from across the room and it was awful.  Still one of my favorite skaters though & really back what Logan & him are doing with 917.
All you got is today, get out and skate.

Bobby Worrest skated past me and once I noticed, I was psyched and watched him for a second.  He happened to turn and saw me staring directly at him...

He turned his head right back and started pushing faster.
