Someone posted about being surprised tat Jamie Foy sucked at flat ground because of his hammers. I think that Joslin is truly one of the most well rounded skaters out there. Props to him for winning. He's definitely better suited to take on Luan than Ribiero.

Ribeiro... too beautiful for this world...
Only an immaculately graceful skater like that would pick up half his letters on shitfoot, middle-school-ass flingers (fake frontside bigspin, fake bigflip, etc...). The aristocrat falls to the hardest working man in skateboarding.

At least we know Carlos Ribiero's "official" stance now.

Coming next year... "What was the skater doing prior to this game of skate?"

Skater 1: "Well, I'm in the middle of filming this video part, we skated from sunrise to well past sunset yesterday. We were out lighting up spots into the wee hours of the night. Woke up and now here I am at the berrics warming up, I literally haven't even taken my morning shit yet"

Skater 2: "I just kept it casual yesterday, flatground session for about an hour then hit up the local spa for a deep tissue massage and some sauna relaxation. Got to bed early last night, woke up, took my vitamins, did yoga for a little bit, drank a smoothie"

calling it now, other than malto fucking around the first game, absolutely no self respecting skateboarder will be throwing a flag and calling in a challenge

we've had the same universal rules in games of skate for many years, quit trying to change shit up berries

Joslin is gonna win it all again. You'd have to do impossibles to get his ass and even then berrics will probably count 3shoves

The board kind of separates from his feet after he catches it, whereas Carlos has those sticky feet.

Now that Koston is knocked out I doubt we will see a pressure flip from anyone.

I’ve always felt that way.  He seems to be in love with disgusting grip tape as well.

As I was viewing it I assumed Mike Mo would get first pick on the east bracket, why else would you let Chris pick all the favorites? Where was PJ and Shane?
[close]

Idk feels like dudes like PJ and Shane might be a bit burnt out from these contests. same with Cole and im sure others who have been staples since the start. good to see some new faces anyhow
[close]
I think Cole talks about being pretty bummed on it on the Nine Club on how they brought in all those Joes. Like he was happy that kid beat him, but he hated what it did to it. The original games had a code to an extent, and the only person to break it really was Cory Kennedy, who at the very least was backed by very legit sponsors. Later on, it had guys who weren't really that known, didn't have notable sponsors, who went for the kill early on with heavy tricks or a trick they knew a guy couldn't land.

I know people aren't a fan of him around here sometimes for how he can be a dick. But, I actually loved what Koston did to that kid who was going right to double flips and ridiculous tricks to beat established pros. Just pulled out some fucking early 90's pressure flips that he wouldn't have done to a respected pro. Can't blame the kid though, he was never going to make it and they put up $10g's, but the pros avoided doing it because they already get paid and they'd be viewed as a kook for doing it.

They jumped the shark and can't go back. Was way better when it was just casual games between respected pros.

If every game started out with kickflip and shuv and went slowly from there it would be even more unbearable. We know all y'all got the basics and have been warming up for an hour. Fuck it get to the big flips asap.
You can throw me on the double kink box and then watch the hate ignored like Constitution by the congressmen

I got excited when I saw Decenzo, until I realized it was the wrong brother. Dude still skates like he's 15, that was uncomfortable and ugly. Who'd have thought Sewa would have a better style than his opponent.

Yes Sewa is way better at flatground, but I prefered Decenzo's style over Sewa's stiff and overtrained looking approach. Sewa looks kind of like a freestyler when he skates flatground.
