I wonder why NHS never offered unshielded hubs for their Santa Cruz mountain bikes. I guess cyclists just can't appreciate the sound of dirt running through raw bearings like skateboarders do.

Had a set of g3s that were fine, got the Raws when they first came out and they stopped rolling within a week. Dmed then on insta and shitty ass manager Sean vandyke went ghost on me when I sent him my receipt and a video of the bearings. Fuck nhs

Had the G3s. Cages broke on half of them skating flat for a few months. Fucking pieces of shit. Meanwhile I’ve been running the same set of Reds in one of my setups for years now and they’re still going strong. Clean and lube every now and then and all is well again.

Had some of the G3's, which were pretty decent but after a year they pretty much all seized up within the space of a couple days. Tried to take them out my wheels and they just exploded due to the cages being broken.

Back to Bones Swiss which have lasted me years with no issue

I had the G3's, and the cages all broke apart after about 2 weeks, so it sounds like that's pretty common with Bronson. Definitely junk.

Nearly got 2 months out of a set of G3's before they self destructed.
My hype-o-meter was given a hard reset. Modus or Swiss only from now on.

G3's were garbage.  The shields were so flimsy that they would flex, make contact with the balls and stop the bearing from rolling.

I've been skating the Raws for 8 months and they're great.  they come with a super thin dry lube that wears out after a week or two.  you then just add 2 drops of either speed cream or the bronson ceramic lube and they're good for months.

I've cleaned and lubed them twice and they're showing no signs of slowing down.  Not as fast as Swiss 6 but still pretty damn great.

i watched a kid try to open a new pack of them recently, the packaging design is so awful its like impossible to get the bearings off of that plastic stick they are placed on in.

You're smoking homie. I've skated G3's which were super good and lasted me forever. I'm recently riding the Raws which I've been on same set for past 5 months now, they rule. Haters gonna hate.

I think it's part of the free market economy that if you pay more than twice as much for a sub-par or, being kind, equivalent product you are allowed to voice your displeasure. It is not hatred, it is an anecdotal cautionary tale.
From your statement "forever" ended 5 months ago?

To each their own, but I actually like cleaning my bearings and can't imagine throwing them away if they still worked.

Speaking of, bones swiss 6 ball gets my vote.

Fake reds. In Brazil is pretty hard to find original reds.

I bought theses like a week ago, and so far they're just as good as bones swiss but who knows what they'll be like in another week.

Bones Swiss don't have to use all of this image marketing, they just make the best bearings on the planet. Undeniable for decades.
