Griptape hanging off an inch or two on all sides of the board so it's like a total mudflap.

has anyone experiences with Indy 144's on 8.125 decks? I'm thinking about it but not sure.

The only combo I skated for a while.
Works really well

i think it comes down to personal preference but there's a limit.
you wouldn't want trucks that are too small or too big.
i prefer flush but it's not 100% necessary
Let me preface this post with the fact that I am slightly inebriated, very uneducated and I havent read any papers or done any research at all, or read your post really.

how wide are the wheels?

my "cruiser" is venture 5's on a 7.75 with keyframes and tis nowhere near flush, I've shaved the sides down to get closer.

my normal board is 5.25 on a 7.75 (+1 extra inner washer!) and that is bang on IMO.

venture 5's are 7.6 inches wide so those trucks on and 7.75 board are pretty damn close to flush, a cunt hairs width away from flush.

venture 5.2's are 8 inches wide so the trucks will be wider than a 7.75 board, again not flush but on the other side of the spectrum (axles wider than board, percieved stability etc)

nothing wrong with either of course, just pointing out neither configuration is what id desribe as truly flush (board width and truck width exactly the same)

This guy gets it. I take "flush" as the wheel edge. I love the grip/leaning weight without slipping under cos of the compression at an angle from above.

I barely notice axle threads rolling.

If I was really ocd i'd turn my lock-ins backward and take the "edge" from the riding surface   ;D

For years I only under. 8 inch trucks on an 8.25 board for example. I've recently started going out and it just feels way better, to me anyway. 8.5 trucks on 8.25, 8.75 trucks on an 8.5 inch board. It's only .25th of a difference but in my head it feels more stable.
I really like this too.
All you got is today, get out and skate.

Pretty much have exclusively skated 159s on boards ranging from 8.5-9.25 from that ive realized I like the wider truck on the 8.5 and I’d like to try out a 9 wide with 169s for a super balanced setup
