Man Down
« on: November 30, 2018, 07:31:08 PM »
I randomly got this at my skate shop because I thought the box looked cool and it was on sale, not knowing anything else about it.

It instantly turned into one of my favorite videos.  My friends and I would watch it all the time before we went out and skated.  It still gets me hyped to skate when I watch it today.

It’s packed full of funny, silly shit, and was a welcome change of pace from the seriousness of stuff like Welcome to Hell and Thrill of It All.

Great soundtrack, legends like Jerry, Louie and MJ, Paul Sharpe blasting over shopping carts, 7.75 decks, Colt Cannon and his khakis, Marc Johnson doing this:

There’s a lot to love.  I think this is my favorite part from Marc for some reason.

When nothing in society deserves respect, we should fashion for ourselves in solitude new silent loyalties.

Caswell had an amazing part. That kickflip he did is nuts.

I back this.

Man Down was an unexpected favorite for me. Great skating, awesome/funny vibe, fitting tunes. Best video from that crew of skaters. Maple Black Cat had some of that feel sprinkled in due to the crossover of skaters... it was no Man Down though.

I still watch parts from it all the time.

Louie Barlootie at his finest. Also, he had a bunch of other finest moments.

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.
