Selling decks
« on: September 03, 2018, 06:40:48 PM »
Long story short, I need to get rid of nearly a dozen decks Iíve been hanging on to, in the hopes of one day hanging them. So when selling decks here or on eBay, how do you guys package them? More importantly, where do you get the boxes? And what boxes are best? Iíd like to stick with the smallest ones i can get away with since a lot of shipping is based on size. Thanks.

ship them in boxes, like the boxes they are shipped to you in.  cardboard works great for boxes.

have you even thought about asking for a box 36" x 12" x 4"?  or even going to a local skate shop and asking for old boxes?  or are you just wanting someone to send them to you for free to make your life easy?

Iím sure this is news to you, but when shops get boards they donít come individually boxed. That box is too big. You ride boards that big? Can you Ollie?  But yea, ups, fed ex, and the post office donít have anything close to that, WHICH IS WHY I MADE THE THREAD YOU DUMB FUCK.

youre right, they probably dont make boxes in the exact 33"x8" size that you are looking for, and i wouldnt bother getting a bigger box so that you can put packing in it so the deck is protected for the buyer, that would be stupid.  maybe see if there are any boxes laying around at your job at zumiez.  good luck trying to ship the decks.

most skaters (at least ones i grew up with) are resourceful .. use whatís around you .. i sell and ship boards all the time .. find a cardboard box in the dumpster that way too big .. cut it down and tape that shit up like crazy .. doesnít matter what it looks like as long as you have a shipping label

i found a great, cheap(ish) way to ship too but not going to help you out cuz you sound like a little birch that needs to be spoon fed

for boards around 8" and assuming you are going usps priority(or paper the outside) you can tape together 2 of the usps shoe boxes.
