Pretty much all of Matt Hensley's Transworld pro spotlight had me shook back in the day.

Sheffey fakie ollieing picnics tables in the Life video.
[close]

A real picnic table too

I was fortunate to have been at "School W" when Sheffey backside tailslid the picnic table for his Life part (Sturt filming with the tight shorts). It was full sized when Sheffey skated it, but it had been partially collapsed when Markovich filmed the same backside lipslide for Winona Riders.

Koston handrail nollie heel nose in chocolate tour
Justin Eldridge switch flip salad in yeah right
Danny Gonzales ceiling ride in... first love?
I forget who it was, but like 10-12 years ago some Spanish guy did backside 180 nose grind switch front 180 out in the middle of a tall ledge.  Anyone remember that shit?  All I remember was the web clip was a welcome part for some Spanish board brand.  Anyway, that trick seemed particularly impossible.

I am not sure I know who you're talking about but I tripped out seeing Weiger Van Wageningen do that in his Nothing But The Truth part, which came out like 11 years ago. That video as a whole was lousy because of dumb skits but Weiger's part is pretty nuts.

He does one at 1:05 and then also does a back heel nose grind switch front 180 out in the middle of a ledge at 1:54 which is insane.

jake johnson switch wallride ender in mindfield, honestly a good portion of that part was pretty shocking.

that was the last premiere that I went to and when that came on the screen, the entire room basically turned upside down.  I heard that people who had clips at that spot deleted them after seeing that haha.  such a good video.  arto's back lip

Holy fucking hell, that back lip... I let out an audible “holy SHIT!” in the middle of the grocery store when I saw that cover. It honestly still seems impossible to me.

im probably lying

I think the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen is when this man does two complete rotations in the air without grabbing his board, lands, and his shirt flips up revealing his dad bod, looking more like someone at home on the couch with a bagful of Doritos in his tummy that someone who just did the impossible

I know people think it's, "Gimicky" or whatever, but it must feel awesome to be able to skate the mega-ramp.  Just looking at the roll in from the top makes me scared.  I still can't believe Vov and DWay pull off what are basically super tech street tricks on that shit.  Especially when they incorporate the rails.

Pretty sure the first photo of a blunt slide I ever saw/noticed was the Penny transworld cover in HB. The board is so vertical that I didn’t understand why he didn’t just fall off since it seemed like he was trying to stand on a wall. And wheels...he was sliding on his wheels, which grip, how could it slide?

Ironically I found out that despite frontside blunts being a very real trick, that the photo I saw was as fake as I thought
Are you a kook? If you would say this, the answer is “YES”
I quit skating for a time due to piling out

Same, I remember a still (not even a sequence) of Wieger doing this trick on a tall ledge in Spain/Mallorca from Kingpin (old euro mag) and thinking how it is even possible. I understood the mental commitment of hammers , but this was just pure wizardry to me.

I know I said I wanted to see this trick in the NBD thread, but goddamn it, I didn't want it to be Ol' Cobra.
Before you say the music sucked, have you considered shutting the fuck up?

Shane: sw flip bs noseblunt down a rail, sw bs 360 kickflip that gap in australia, bigspin bs tail down clipper, nollie bs heel wallenberg, bigspin 5-0 down a rail, and fakie fs crook fakie big heel out.

Torey Pudwill bs smith up that 10 stair rail Westgate boardslid and that chest high bs tail from his big bang part. A bunch of Chris Cole, Nyjah, and Joslin stuff. Chase Webb bs 5-0 down a legit 30+ rail. Kickflip a table the long way. I could go on and on so I'll just leave it at that.

Many of the tricks done on the Afro Banks in the Subzero video blew my mind. Namely, Matt Reason’s switch blunt front 180 and Fred’s backside noseblunt. That thing was definitely not easy to skate.

When I first saw it I couldn't believe Andrew Reynolds fs blunt kickflip out on a handrail in The End was real.

What tricks struck you as completely impossible when you first saw them?

leo romero's and brandon westgate's boardslides up handrails. I remember when stay gold came I couldn't believe what I was watching.

Guy mariano's switch noseslide kickflip out on a handrail

Half of pat duffy's stuff
3 stair handrail!
thing would be hard enough to tap a slide on, nonetheless pick it and flip it.

Yep! I grew up skating this rail just like that one (first rail I've ever done lol) and I was just mind blown.

It's like he could have flipped it late without even touching the rail to begin with. Super fast footwork and how the fuck did he make it look good?

Also, those tech rail tricks from Duffy if virtual reality on what I believe was a mellow 5 stair, but still...mind blown
