Bones Reds Ceramic in harsh conditions
« on: September 06, 2018, 01:48:19 AM »
Hello,

i'm living in a cold and wet area, and i'm thinking about buying a set of Reds ceramic.

the balls retainers are made of nylon, and this material is quite britle, especially in the dead of winter.

Will my bearings outlast the cold weather ?

hey pickle

I wouldn't do it because I don't think ceramic bearings are that much more durable..

Get some ceramic or stainless Hard Luck bearings.  they will never rust.  just keep them clean and lubed

the main thing with any bearings as mentioned before and in other threads in maintenance. i know most people dont wanna clean and maintain them so its cheaper for people to buy $15 bearings every so often.
