I kinda want them to succeed and use this to fund dropping some skateable shoes at a reasonable price but it's weird to have this been your first model while two of your riders are seen wearing and skating other brands.

Also, not sure why this annoys me but I don't mind Huf dropping the dylan. loafers.

They only sold out of the sizes that they made smaller runs of like 7 and 13... in almost 24 hours which is not a good start to a first drop.

plus once you check out they charge almost 20 dollars for shipping...

I guess those would be nice to wear as the shoes you wear to weddings and events you have to dress up a bit for.
[close]

But for $200 you can get yourself some proper dress shoes, not something from a skate brand.  No need to keep it, "Core" all the time.

This has always been my argument. That is actually why I refused to buy those Dylan loafers; buy real dress shoes. I know it goes to charity bit Ive already skated a ton of his Huf shoes, so thats my obligatory homage.

9 and 10 are now gone too.
There's eight left in 11.5, maybe they had 10 of each or something? Hadn't bothered to see how many they released until just now

They should have done a suede loafer for 100 to 150 like I thought the leather ones were going to cost and used the extra cash to make a second shoe in the 80 range that the common skater could relate to or at least a Austyn type shoe if there thing is dressy skate shoes....which I would back 100%

I want them to do great cause the idea is great but they can't even show us what the bottom of the sole looks like...

After seeing Clyde Singleton skate in I-Path cats I summarized that people can skate in any object that is called a shoe.

Ellington is lucky he was in Baker 3. If it wasn't for that he couldn't pull this.

Disagree, Ellington is the man regardless of one video part!

My assumption is they dropped this shoe well aware of the fact it isn’t a “skate shoe” causing people to furrow their brows and gossip hopefully creating buzz/brand awareness, so that when they do put out more of a traditional shoe they will already have more people’s attention.

I feel like emerica and supra would be down to let them make this kinda shoe without having to quit the team. Emerica makes all kinds of non skateables for leo or heath or whatever. Supra makes muska post-skate shoes like skytops and shit. surely they could have pitched this and made something without having to dismantle legacies.

Will never get over herman leaving emerica....especially for this.

Why is everyone acting like these are skate shoes? It looks like they're just making the shoes they want; quality loafers. The 200$ doesn't matter if they aren't skate shoes, 200 bucks for a pair of loafers isn't exactly alot if it has the quality to match it. 300 isn't really either.

I'm looking forward to see what more they come up with, it seems like they're trying to make it more upscale but in the end it would be cool to see some skate shoes from a brand consisting of skateboarders.

I think we're bummed because Ellington and Herman were making good shoes with their former sponsors and so if they are making a new company with other skaters, they'd make a skate shoe.  At least for their first drop.

And it's more baffling because you're lying if you say that you could see Herman wearing these shoes for any reason, so it just feels weird and fake.  Ellington, Lucien, Keith - yes.  Rory, maybe.  Herman - definitely not.

They look nice and all but god damn, $200? We all know these are catered for skaters, can't think of too many non skaters buying these. Most of us can't throw down $200 for shoes. I think $100 would be more affordable.

Also, not sure why this annoys me but I don't mind Huf dropping the dylan. loafers.
For me, its because Dylan actually pulled off the look and he could pull off the shoes and not look corny.

Nobody on HRS can make those loafers make sense on their feet. Not even Ellington.
