CCS custom decks
« on: September 13, 2018, 06:20:07 AM »
Ccs has an option now to upload your own graphics or text to make a custom deck.
They have sizes between 8-8.5
Anyone do it yet?
It’s only $50 with free Grip. Btw CCS is skater owned-they all seem to be really cool/good dues working there:
 These are mine.
8.5s

What are the shapes like/how do they skate? I'm sure they're the same as their blank decks but I love the idea that I could get a deck with something ridiculous printed on it. Price wise- its a novelty because I don't really expect a lot of people paying pro board prices for a lesser-quality board.

If I can get a Frickin’ Adequate deck with the Dill mannequin photoshopped in front of the the twin towers then CCS might actually make some money of me.

It’s the same as their blank decks, The decks don’t appear to be any less quality than the pro boards I’ve skated in the past.
Concave is kinda medium.
It honestly looks likes it’s going to skate like any other blank/pro deck out there.
I’ll be setting mine up within a couple weeks.
You can more or less see that shape in the top side pic I posted. rounded nose, not like a huge shovel, I don’t like the giant shovel nose but I’m happy with the way the shapes look.

I've made plenty through boardpusher in the past but was always disappointed in their quality and price. Post a review when you can on the ccs ones. Does the graphic seem like a cheap printed item, or is the transfer good quality? Boardpusher transfers are cheap and their blanks don't seem very good at all.

Im not sure what process is, it kinda looks like a
big laminate transfer type thing.
I would imaging that if I kept one of the decks for ten years it would probably start to crack eventually.
It’s not as good a quality graphic as major brands have. Maybe a slight step lower than a regular pro graphic transfer. but I’ll see how it lasts once I start skating it.
It does look somewhat cheap but just from looking at the ones I already have, I’m gonna order more eventually.

They are owned by an investment firm that finds “promising” companies and rebuilds them. They pay their warehouse employees a near unlivable wage and office, back end, creative dept, etc laughable wages. The boards are shit $5 blanks. Trust me. I worked there for a few years.

Yes more cat boards!

I’ll set up the board tonight and give it a whirl when y’all be rain stops.
I get a really nice fun vibe from the guys that run the instagram.
I’ve had cheap blanks from the internet before and they are always visibly low quality.
Like I said, these decks look like any other legit brand, there are some colored plys in the deck which is meaningless but I still think that’s neat.

They can deny a graphic at their discretion.
Like i would think if it was a cock jizz or racist/hateful stuff as well as uploading things that are copyrighted

I couldn't see the pictures yesterday at work but they look to have turned out as good as I could have hoped, will probably get one and maybe even just keep it so I don't scratch up Whiskers. 50$ isn't bad for a custom board especially if they end up skating well enough.

Still curious on how that sweet ass rides though.

Semi off topic but do you guys know of anywhere to get decent quality blanks? I’ve looked at skatewarehouse but always been to chicken to pull the trigger.

I bought one years ago to have as a wider street cruiser board (8.5) and after this winter I moved it over to my main deck and after 2 years it still has decent pop—more than a Chapman board I was riding. It’s middle of the road concave with a somewhat full shape but not a true full. For $20.00 how can you loose?
