HRS - Ellington and Herm

Huge fans of these guys of course. But come on now wtf is this shit?

Sounds so pretentious. 'hand made Italian leather loafers". Nothing skate about this. Sounds like they've lost the plot. However what that they've done has ever failed? They've got the golden touch.

I feel like Lucian Clarke has also lost the plot, skating around in that Louis vitton armless jacket nonsense. Get a grip. I guess he's a perfect fit for this non brand then!!!

Can't wait to see someone skating these loafers.

Even when I was younger, a lot of the Emerica, Supra, Krew stuff just seemed way over the top.

This does not surprise me.

Lord carry them now.

Ummm... that's what they are.

Ummm... you're not supposed to.
Now, we used to say we put on our tights to put on the world. So I don't think it tarnishes the image at all.

I think you’re missing the point. Where has anybody anywhere at anytime said this is a skate shoe brand? Ellington, Herman, and Clarke don’t need a skate shoe sponsor. They could literally hit up anybody and get shoes to skate in. They are definitely going for something different here.

Money moves cuz there’s no money in skating

I'm not cool enough to wear these. Sticking with my $8.99 boat shoes from Old Navy.

But the Italian leather is caffeinated, goes against your core beliefs.

Also, there's been a few HRS threads recently, all exactly like this one.

Those loafers appeared to me from heaven, in a groove in NY first. I've got the breastplate to prove it, I just can't show you.

Nothing skate about this.

Did they say this is a skateboarding shoe? No.

Is Villager meant to make you skate better? Can you only be a skater and drink Villager? How about Saint Archer's before they were sold to Anheuser?

You see OP, you are an idiot.

Genuine question, was it stated anywhere that this was going to be a skate brand? If they end up doing skate shoes later that'd be great.

Regardless, I'll cop. The colourway that Ellington is wearing in that insta clip look nice.

my biggest qualm with this is the fact that ellington had some amazing shoes on supra and emerica and so did herman with 3-4 solid shoes and they announced they'd left their sponsors to start a new brand that ended up being loafers
Skateboarding is like jacking-off, it's that good- Jeremy Klein

I remember Greco wanted a Gucci/Armani sponsorship, like 10 years ago. I'm ok with this.

If I was a hot pro and Adidas wanted to give me my own olympic weight lifting shoe, I'd take it in no time.
