I'm a high school teacher and I made this for a class I was a student teacher for last year. It might come off as a bit corny to you guys since it wasn't really made with skateboarders in mind. Some of this was also probably posted on Slap a couple years ago under my old account.

how was the classes reception of your video? i've found that when non skateboarders watch skate videos, they expect to see you grinding/ sliding for days or jumping off the biggest shit ever or they're unimpressed. those front nose variations were sick, but i'm sure your students were wondering why you didn't slide for the whole ledge. sick video btw. nollie heel front nose was sick.

Tanhoe guessed it. I’m actually from Michigan – just outside of Detroit. I did take a trip to Boston though a few years ago and stopped in Syracuse, NY along the way which is where those clips came from. Both were really sick places to skate and I’ve wanted to go back ever since.

Tanhoe, where in Michigan are you?

Yeah, that was completely my expectation as well. I thought they would just be like “meh...whatever,” but when I showed the video to my students they went CRAZY! They could not have been more hyped – it was hilarious dude. After it got put on YouTube I had students approach me and say stuff like “Mr. Bohl, I've got your video on my Myspace page” and things of that sort. None of them skateboarded (at least seriously that is), but as a teacher I could not have been more psyched to make a connection like that with so many students.

Dang Gest!!! I don’t know how you remember that, but that was definitely me. The varial heel on flat was the first trick in that clip I posted years ago and that same fs nose bigspin out was in there as well.
