I'm not even from NY, but I think it needs to be firmly established that the guy is basically the best filmer on the circuit right now. Well..I'll partially rescind that; I'm not talking about literal cameramanship, but more as an actual filmmaker/creative director, who just happens to pitch in for filming duties in a kind of old school, Socrates Leal/Aaron Meza way. The guy's behind 'Gnar Gnar', 'Dizzy', 'Lurkers 1', 'Lurkers 2', countless great montages on quartersnacks.com, he relies heavily on great music like '60s girl groups and Sam Cooke and shit, he runs a mean teal Billy Waldman T-shirt, and he even spent time in the can for some silly shit involving an SUV and a stolen piece of art-porn.

This is my letter of recommendation for Mr. Sagalnik to the industry at large. Lakai, if you want to avoid the 'Yeah Right!' backlash all over agin, hire him as your music supervisor and let him re-edit your video.

Most of It. Some of it was al itle ehhh. I Like Dahram and all But his part was a little boring. Ted's part ripped, Ian ripped, And of course Charles but Idk There was some filler stuff. Still an amazing movie

I'm sure he'd be pretty psyched on the term "creative director". I agree that he has some good ideas, but a lot of his ideas kind of fall flat.  I'm not really sure that skateboarding needs "creative directors" of videos. A filmer is a filmer. Let the skating talk for itself. The shortcomings of sam's videos are that he lets his vision get in the way of the skating, a lot of the time.  the edits are sometimes sloppy and pointless, the filming is shaky and far off, and he asks a lot of the viewer, like wanting to shell out $50 for a vhs. But yeah, overall, I agree that he at least has a creative approach to making videos. Whether his approach measures up to the expected quality of the finished product, that's another story altogether. I still feel like the original Lurkers is the best video that he did, hands down.
