I've been to Mexico last year. Mainly in Cordoba/Veracruz. There was a skatepark, which was alright, but besides that, the ground is always really fucked up, just like 89-90 said. I also found it hard to even find a skateshop. The only real one I found carried one single deck.

There was some fun shit to skate in Ensenada. They weren't as nice as spots I've skated elsewhere, but they were pretty fun. Empty pools all over the area. Yucatan has a whole lot of tourism, and with that probably is hotels and plazas and shit, so I'd atleast bring the board. Which is worse, having your board and there being no spots to skate, or not having your board and there being all sorts of great shit to skate.

You are allowed to carry it on, but be ready for some ignorant annoying people. A flight attendent may ask, but if TSA is down, you should be all good. And they have always been down in my experiences. JUst let the flight attendant know that it was ok with TSA and she/he should be cool with it. It might be easier if you have the board connected to your backpack, so its part of your luggage or something. Businessmen have come up to me, telling me its a weapon. One went as far as to try and tell me "next time, just leave the board and home." Unfortunately for them, they are not in charge. I like to unload on assholes like that.

I made the mistake of not bringing my board. I was going down to make an educational video so I didn't think i would have time, but I found a group of kids sharing one board so I skated and drank beers with them for a couple of hours, it was rad.

Yeah, that shit annoys me. Its not necessarily an italian thing only, but I'm going to run with this example, fake accents when they say shit like "provolone" or "marinara," as if they actually are Italian, and just have a spot on American accent, but once its time to talk about lunchmeats, thats when the real accent comes out. I think its mostly just whitebread kids looking for a culture to identify with.
