nice setup d00d, whats wrong with the bearings? how long have you had em for?
[close]

Thanks! Maybe around December I got them from someone off of here for cheap. One wheel still rolls like some Swiss ceramics should but all the other ones are noticeably more sluggish but still decent enough to use.  They always get super dusty skating the desert and I tend to roll through dirt/grass a lot skating weird spots on top of that so that's probably why I go thru bearings so fast. I should just stick to reds, haha
Take the shields off and clean them with 100% acetone, dry then re lube. They'll be good as new.

How are those 81bs?  Could they be good for out of park use as well?  I like those spf shapes but spend most time in the street.
[close]

I honestly haven't gone proper street skating since setting them up, but they feel good to me when I skate down to the gas station for a beer or bomb the hill in my apartment complex. Only thing is they sit high which took some getting used to. That could obviously be avoided by going smaller though. I do love the shape, and they are super smooth when brand new. Make wallrides feel amazing.

Very interesting.  thanks for the info!

yeah gotta do this once a year... its annoying but might as well maintain a product you paid good money for.

I'd suggest a citrus based degreaser I've acetone as it's less corrosive.

Agreed.
Is this the shape with the 33" length? I've wanted to try an 8.5 Quasi but that length/wheelbase got me scurd.

I've had that shape. it's the good one. Don't fuck with that ps stix 8.5 that's 32.125, has the huge nose, and tapers to the tail. FA, WKND, and Quasi use it. it's awful.

8.38 ave terminator (I know it'll suck for skating but I'm broke so I sacrificed a wall board)
indy 144s, switched the top bushings to the standard blue ones, (sanded down the sides to keep the washers from digging in)

Nice, I am also a backwards board rider. I thought all boards since day one are supposed to have a higher tail cause of old skool boards before the double kicks

Were you bummed you got the pink? Strange they don't give you an option on color. I am good with the natural wood, but would have preferred the blue or yellow. The concave, shape, and size are all perfect so I really do not care.

I recently downsized to 8.38 dlx but prior to that, I was skating 8.62 dlx boards with 14.75 wheelbase and 33" length. Then I skated two of these 8.5 quasis(the stains I got weren't nearly as nice as this one, damn) and the wheelbase really didn't feel any longer than the dlx boards, board didn't feel any longer either. I think quasi boards are measured a bit smaller than dlx boards in every dimension if that reference helps you at all. All in all, I don't think it's going to bother you all that much.

No, the pink doesn't bother me. Plus this was a replacement for a Jake Johnson that had delam.

Quasi's measuring system is a little off. Like I said earlier I had a Jake Johnson that delamed, bought a team board that was the same shape/specs as the Jake before I received this replacement for the JJ. Totally thought it was the same as the last two quasi's I had. But it's way shorter.
