8.5
55s w/krux tops
Insaneathanes.  Not the best, not the worst.

I had a Scum Co set up that I loved but I blew my knee out skating it, so I had to set up something fresh to get rid of the memories of injuring myself.  Just a few more weeks until I get to skate this.

Had this deck sitting around for a few months, finally got around to setting it up.

8.38 Passport
149 Forged Hollow Independents
54 Conical Spitfire F4
Reds
Jessup

I bought a pair of Cory Kennedy's on sale a while back and that's what I am skating in now. I really like the way they skate, I've had a few pairs. I don't really think the toe cap looks that great but you can make a good grove in them that makes doing kickflips really fun.

Thanks, Patrick! I'm pretty stoked on it too. It feels so good, love generator wood.

Krooked 8.3 football shape
Jessup
Bronze
Spitfire F4 Classics 99s 54mm
Bronson G3
Venture 5.8

Vans Old Skool Pro

Really want one of these boards. Never really skated a football shape but I imagine it wouldn't be TOO wild of a transition, eh?

This 8.375 deck feels like a 7.75 deck because of how much it tapers on the nose and tail. Reminds me of baker boards back in around 2005 lol
I have a 9in and that feels like 8.75.
Having the taper makes it pretty easy to do big spins and rotation tricks for sure. You get the flick of a smaller deck but get the width in the middle.

I take it flip tricks are easier then? Might be worth a try

I know exactly what you mean. Baker boards were kind of like footballs for a while around then. I skated lots of baker boards back then, but I remember it seeming really noticeable on my baker purple rain board.

is that one squared and 14.25 WB? The one I have right now is, and I think it’s under 32. Might stick with this shape for a few in a row if I can find them.

flip tricks are deff easier and once you get used to the taper on the nose you wont even think about it.
I wish Baker boards are still that pointy at least they keep the same concave

Awesone! I'm actually starting skating this because I was always curious about how this shape works (also first time posting on this threat):

Blind Brian Lotti showgirls reissue 8.125
Independent stage XI 149 with some thunder aftermarket bushings (always liked how they work with Indys, next time will try bones medium) (probably would work better with 139).
Mosaic Jesus Fernandez Bearings.
Tangram wheels 52mm 101A.
Vans Half Cab with replaced insoles.

Love how it skates, but couldn't skate it too much because I'm still recovering of dislocating my right shoulder exactly 1 month ago.

Shoulders are a bitch, be warned. I dislocated mine over a year ago and now every time I splay my arm out while sliding out it's excruciating and the session is over. Definitely do some resistance band exercises and side planks they help a shit ton

Exactly, now I'm doing all of that, some other exercises and mostly not trying to force it too much. I've got a friend who dislocated his shoulder 5 times between this 2 years and still recovering of the surgery he had 4 months ago, definitely our role model of how you shouldn't recover from an injury  :P

You can do what I did and fill your shoulder with enough damaged tissue to limit your range of motion to the pain-free zone. Moving your arm won't hurt if you can't move your arm.

Anyone had a setup similar to Peter Hewitt? 8.75 with 169s? Those trucks seem wide but what do I know

Yup. Prime has put out some Muska decks. I think this is the third silhouette they've done, and they put out another pretty nice design. Judging by his insta he's been skating with Pastras a lot.
