This is the link i ordered from. I think that's the double right?

https://www.tactics.com/doom-sayers-club/snake-shake-858-skateboard-deck/black-white
yeah, I think 8.5 is the standard shape is 8.58 is the double shovel. Really want to try the 8.4 shovel nose shape

Impish sausage is definitely gonna blow up as a euphemism this year

I'm currently putting together a new set up and i'm wondering if Indy 169 Titaniums are worth bothering with over standard 169s.  Anyone ridden them?
Titaniums are lighter and you can feel it when you carry your board but I'm not so sure it makes any difference when you ride it. I've bought them because I enjoy the placebo of knowing they are lighter.

Switched it up a little from my last post.

8.25 WKND
Indy 149
Spitfire F4 101a Classic 54mm
Swiss 6
Mob M-80
Vans Sk8-Hi

I'm riding two top bushings (as opposed to top and bottom) and it's really nice. Really fun carving around between tricks. Haven't skated anything high speed yet so it might change, but I'm digging it right now.
[close]
How do you guys like the indy 149s on 8.25? Don't the axles protrude a bit?
The axles protrude a little, but it isn't super noticeable. I fluctuate between boards from 8.25-8.5 so I just went with the 149s because I hate having trucks smaller than my board.

I bought them for my dane1 setup and they are pretty light on a much larger than average board. Only bummer is that they are lower than regular Indys so the 56mm wheels I put on there bite pretty hard. I can put risers on there but I sorta hate them. Gonna buy smaller wheels sometime soon. For now the set up lives in my trunk.

It's literally 1.5mm because of the forged baseplate. If you have any cast Indy baseplates hanging around you could swap them out.

im dumb and have problems and have way too many decks.

the one of the left is the polar 1991 shape and i really liked it. i had never rode a big board before but after riding it for weeks ive had trouble stepping down. the only thing i didnt like about it is how long it is and the longer wheelbase (14.75) so i set up the deck on the right which is the dane1 polar shape with a much shorter wheelbase (14.1)

i took it on a 5 hour mini ramp session last night and i love it. of course its even wider than the 1991 but the quick turning is great on the ramp.

left
polar 1991 9.75 x 32.25 14.75wb

honestly i only got em cus they were the cheapest f4s and they matched the deck i was buying at the time but if you care about having a somewhat matching setup then id avoid em.

now on your 5th time on an identical shape do you notice any new consistency in skating. Is your break in time on a new deck different?

100% more consistent than when i would skate random 8.5-8 inch boards from different brands. having the same wheelbase is really what makes me comfortable when i get a new board. board feels perfect first session onward

Enjoi 8 inch
Indy 139
Spitfire 54mm Fourmula Four 99duro
Half Spitifire burners hald Shake Junt bearings
Es Accel OG
Word Is Bond stickers (represent yo)
A friend of mine broke my old deck trying to fs board a steep ass handrail, was caught a bit off guard with that, and some dude was selling the Enjoi deck for really cheap it was used only once so fuck it. It's been like 10 years without riding an Enjoi board and I like the company so I'm stoked on it, I just have to get used to the smaller nose and tail compared to the previous board I had before.
Also, got some Element Chad Muska wheels becasue they were really cheap and Spitfires are really hard to come by without paying like 60 dollars for them. Hopefully the transition isn't too rough. The Argentinean economy is absolute shit currently.

I believe the dimensions are similar, same wheelbase but not the exact same shape.
I don't work until tuesday but I'll measure it then and let you know.

Pretty good man, the shape is real nice. Comming from a og baker, this has some more concave. Also the nose is a bit longer then the tail. First chocolate for me, for sure gona check out another one when i need a new deck.
