Big fan of the lock ins , I want to try the swirls as well . That’s a clean looking set up & best Krooked graphics I’ve seen a while . 👍🏽

A lot of heat on this page.  The dimensions on that Alien are insane.  Seriously regret not pulling the trigger on those lynx now too.

I almost got that Manderson but ended up getting an 8.5 Real Full Shape.  The Manderson has a 14.75wb which is pretty hard to find on an 8.5.  Might go with that next

Vans Crockett 2s

Skating that same board and some black/white Crockett 2’s.

Running Independent 159’s and 52mm F4 Conical fulls

I have a big, wide foot (13) and had been riding Lakai for years.  Went on vacation and forgot my skate shoes so had to go to the Vans store and try something new. Those Crocketts are fantastic.

Sounds like you've got the works going for ya :)

I was tripping on these shoes a little bit cuz when I tried them on they were really long so I sized down a bit, but the canvas was a little stiff so my toes were hurting. But I managed to stretch them out and they're feeling really good. In truth I think I still prefer the Kyle Walkers over these, but I'm still pretty happy with this shoe and couldn't resist that colorway.

Thanks Cinci. Your AWS got me hyped and Joey kills so I wanted to support! AWS 8.25 feels way too big to me. It is a really full shape and also feels crazy long. It's a tank compared to their 8 and this 8.125. Maybe it's bc I've been skating smaller boards.

Global - your pic is a time capsule! Digging all that.

This has me cracking up, what exactly does Black Flag have to do with measuring your dick starting behind ya nuts?

Skateboarding is nothing but a game to find the right fits to appear like you're a proportional human being instead of a midget or a giant.

I love white boards , so clean loooking . I got to ask how you could set up new board/trucks and not new wheels . That would make me insane .

I know you didn't ask me but I personally ride 8.5s and just stepped it down from a decade + of only 52s to 50s and it feels amazing. People always trip too at how small my wheels look with that size deck or tell me that I'm actually doing more harm by riding my wheels that small lol.

i ride 52s that are probably around 49mm now on a 10.75. i like skating big boards without risers. feels like i can do more stuff in the streets with small wheels. quicker pop and easier slide. plus the board is lighter with smaller wheels. i don't really notice the small size unless i'm skating crust or burly coping then i wish I was riding something bigger.
I started getting a lot better when I went back to college and started taking a lot of math classes when I was 31.

I figured out how to figure things out better, if that makes sense.

I originally bought the 48s to be a 90s-style setup with the Baker impact stripe deck (posted a couple pages back), but I normally ride 50-51mm so it wasn't a big drop anyway.  I love small wheels for their reduced weight and aesthetic, and I pretty much only skate low-impact stuff anyway...curbs, ledges, etc.  If I'm trying to get somewhere fast, I'll take my cruiser out.

Yep, that's the one. That's also the reason I sought it out, by watching Chico skate it on Insta. I got one session on it yesterday. I love the way it rides. I might pick up another to put back after this one is retired.

I couldn’t have said it bettter . Aesthetics plays apart for sure  . The larger wheels just look so bulky . It’s does of course depend on what your skating . When I skate transition I do like a 54/55 wheel.

I loved bones bushings in thunder, but those 94a thunder bushings are flawless with this kind of setup thunder feel really good in deep turning. I just hope this don't mush out too soon like bones.
