My dad loved this guy. RIP.
Merle Haggard - what am I gonna do (with the rest of my life)

I've only ever been truly bummed out over two musician's deaths- Lux Interior, and now Merle Haggard. Thankfully I got to see them both play. RIP.

The Sonics - Full Performance (Live at Easy Street)

how sick would it have been to be walking down the street and stumble across the sonics playing?

Yeah I've listened to that album a ton, they're the closest thing to American Football I've been able to find.
I don't like the more recent album with the new singer nearly as much though.

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

Not the biggest fan of Animal Collective but Deakin's new record is pretty good.

Here's the first track off of it.

RIP 25 years ago today, the hugely influential and godlike Mr. Johnny Thunders.

I've always wondered the amount of wanna-be rock'n'rollers that ruined their lives/died trying to emulate this guy, with a fraction of the talent.

Prince's self-titled album. It's top heavy, I don't care for the last couple of slow jams.

Funcrusherplus. Honestly, I only kind of like it. I think El-P got a lot better in the few years after when def jux started going properly.

PISS self-titled EP. Brilliant noisy punk band.

This is definitely my favorite hip hop album ever. Not a single bad track on it if you ask me.
