Been listening to this Hot Chocolate song a lot lately (as well as a couple of cover variations). Great song. Its about a suicide story of someone who yearned for movie stardom but found no success, thus killing herself along with her dream.
Hot Chocolate - Emma

Couple of covers that are really cool too: sisters of mercy put a bit of a goth rock feel to it -- so good!. Urge overkill expanded on it alittle bit more with their rock sound in the intro/outro that worked pretty dope too.
Sisters Of Mercy - Emma - Live in London - Royal Albert Hall 1985
Urge Overkill - "Emmaline"

08 Um Girassol da Cor de Seu Cabelo

I really fucking love this entire album, and I can't even risk listening to the first song, else I'll have to listen to it from start to finish. Clube da Esquina. Psychedelic Brazilian goodness.

found a label called kill shaman records that puts out a bunch of really good lo-fi/garage/psych stuff. really digging just about everything i listen to off their label. tons of really cheap vinyl available too, but i dont really have any money to be throwing away at that stuff now. if i did, id probably be emptying out my account.

I checked them out after that too. Really sick band. All the music in that edit was so great.

Speaking of which, I've been listening to some of Tommy G's music because of that edit and I'm really digging his stuff. I've never made a point to listen to his stuff before because I typically find that most skateboards make pretty mediocre music and just because theyre great skaters doesn't really make their boring music more appealing to me. Anyway, I'm pleasantly surprised with how great Tommy's stuff is. Anyone who hasn't checked it out before definitely needs to give it a listen.

skinny puppy- bites/remission
This has me cracking up, what exactly does Black Flag have to do with measuring your dick starting behind ya nuts?

Skateboarding is nothing but a game to find the right fits to appear like you're a proportional human being instead of a midget or a giant.

not too much in to Tommy's stuff( no offence Tommy, your music is good and groovy bro), but speaking of Radio Moscow, here's a good full concert i found, Parker Griggs is a beast

What did you think of that album? I just finished listening to it and thought it was a lot more fun and exciting than I expected it to be. I thought about going to see them when they came to Detroit last month, but Josh wasn't even touring with them so I didn't bother.

Those tits on the cover are really nice too.

Really liked it, definitely a step up from their last album, fun is totally the word I'd use to describe it, can't help but dance to some of the songs on there.

I think it's a rare thing for Homme to be at a show, the touring drummer isn't bad, I got lost watching live youtube clips the other day and Jesse Hughes is such a big personality on his own that I could still enjoy a live show sans Josh

Fucking love Skip James.
Devil Got My Woman is pretty easy to play on a 3 string guitar, which is surprisingly easy to build.
