New Damaged Bug album coming next month. Both tracks that have been released so far are really sick if you dig weird stuff.

Will Wiesenfeld (Baths), who is one of my favorites, is putting out a new album at the end of March, under his more ambient-focused project Geotic!
http://www.tinymixtapes.com/news/geotic-will-wiesenfeld-baths-announces-new-album-abysma-ghostly-international

Here's a song off of it:
https://soundcloud.com/ghostly/geotic-actually-smiling
Is it possible to embed soundcloud tracks on here?

I'd prefer some new Baths material, but it's been awhile since he's put much out, so I'll take what I can get.
That first song at least sounds more like Baths, than most previous Geotic songs.

Check out this ridiculous awesome clothing company that Will modeled some stuff for:

http://massive-goods.com/shop/

Also, the Baths Vine page was amazing, and the only one I ever checked really.
I'm actually afraid to check if it's still up, cause I know Vine are done at some point soon.

You can get alot of Geotic stuff for free, and even preorder his new album, off his BandCamp page too:
https://geotic.bandcamp.com/
You should throw him some money though if you can, cause he's the best

Robbie Williams - Supreme

I'm way more amused by the song + video than I should be. Especially because I'm a sucker for new takes on songs, and videos with silly little stories and costumes and such.

If anybody's seen the opening scene of the movie Heavyweights (I should assume everyone's seen it), then you'll probably remember this one...

Closer To Free

Makes me feel warm & gooey on the inside. And it makes me think of Oregonians in their flannels, for some reason.

Retro-Rockabilly (or punk-abilly, psychobilly or just about anythign -abilly) is a pretty goddamn cringe-worthy genre (outside of the Cramps, of course).

However recently heard a few bands that definitely sound good these days... enough energy and fury without the ridiculous greaser-cliches.

The Gravediggers 'Move It' (this came out in '89) on Crypt

The Gravediggers - Rumblin' Ubangi Stomp

The Gravediggers - Wild Mind

and new French band Chrome Reverse, featuring garage-punk goddess Lily Zeller (Grandpa you ever hear this?)

chrome reverse | cat fight | live @ chaufferie

Well Im drunk and high, and i was thinking how everyone involved in this video and making of it was in elementary school while I was out of high school, and its wild how they just take influence from the older generation and just take it to new levels n shit. Its pretty cool man, i cant wait to see what or how fucked the young kids taking notes from this generation of young folks is gonna be. Fuckin evolution is goin pretty quick, its fuckin cool to see.

Sergei Prokofiev - Battle On The Ice

Is Alexander Nevsky an enjoyable film for a child of the 90s like myself? I've been meaning to watch it but I'm lazy. Battleship Potemkin fucked me up, though, so I imagine a newer FILM would be good on my book. But I'm worried the subtext will fly over my non-Russian head.

Tranquil Pain

New PC worship album "Buried Wish". This is the first I've heard from this band and I thought it was a pretty solid album. Reminded me a lot of the Sic Alps if anyone is familiar with them, but a little more weird at times. There are points on this album where it sounds like everyone is playing something different, and although it's not very melodic, it still works in a strange way. ^ This is the last track and I think the title "Tranquil Pain" along with the album cover perfectly sum up with this albums sounds like. It's the perfect ending to the album.

Listening to their earlier stuff now and its pretty good too. A bit heavier though.
