All the songs I've listened to from Destroyer are excellent.

For sure the Matthaus is great, but I don't have that much experience with it. Maybe the John's has a little more 'go' to it? They're both sick anyway. And I'll see the Matthaus this easter, so maybe I'll shift after experiencing it in person.

Speaking of contra-tenors; I was just listening to this guy. No expert, but it's so heavenly I just wanna chill in that tree shade.

really digging parquet courts lately. i gave their 2016 album a listen but it really didnt do it for me the first time though so i kind of wrote them off as boring indie trying to copy some 80s post punk bands. recently a guy at work said he was really into their live album so i gave some of their old live stuff a shot and holy shit is it good.

Yeah, Human Performance is a bit too "once is enough" brand of experimental Wire, as opposed to Colin Newman pop sensibility Wire.

Not that I don't love me White Light/White Heat VU, or Chairs Missing/154 Wire, it's just that Parquet Courts earlier sound was less obviously derivative.

Light up Gold, and Sunbathing Animal are modern classics.

Following the death of Don Rickles, I watched the video where he interrupted Frank Sinatra's interview on Carson, but before he did, Sinatra mentioned that when he relaxes at home he listens to stuff like, "The Sunken Cathedral". So I looked it up, and I'm not usually one for classical, outside of a few favourites or listening to the radio, but I liked the progression of this.

XTC - Skylarking (Full Album) [HD]

My favorite XTC album. Because a PAL cannot live on "makin plans for nyjah amirite???" jokes alone... 1000 Umbrellas is one of my favorite songs ever.

theres a leak of the new mac demarco album out there. i havent loved everything hes put out, but hes had some good songs so i gave this new one a try. the music is good, but overall its a sad break up album and im getting married in a few months. probably wont be replaying it anytime soon, but if you just got your heart broken, it could be your jam!

Azymuth - Last Summer In Rio

I have a little Youtube ritual. If I'm just listening to music, and this song shows up in the related video selection, and I don't know what to listen next, I just put this on and chill.

Just played a show with Honey Radar; the one guy, Arman, has a very cool project in addition to being in Honey Radar, an absolutely fantastic band.

All the songs I've listened to from Destroyer are excellent.

Destroyer - My Favorite Year

The opening and closing tracks, along with "Foam Hands" and "Introducing Angels", are my favorites off that album.
And yeah, Destroyer is an amazing project.

Dan Bejar also usually gets better, or at the very least more interesting, with each new release.
Tim Hecker is another favorite of mine, and this (semi-recent) collaboration track between the two of them is amazing.

Hyped to hear Mark Mothersbaugh on Marc Maron's podcast this morning. If you are a DEVO fan than this definitely worth a listen.

this band has a rather strange/mediocre trajectory... but in-between run-of-the-mill garage rock and gross-pretty-boy glam rock they put out this furious little monster that is one of my favorite LP's of the 90's.  must've been after a bad break up or something because they were never this pissed off before or after.
