An awesome cover of "Somebody to love", by Angry Somoans. Nothing beats Grace Slick's original vocals, but this ones enjoyable, too:

ajj is two people and they definitely aren't "kids" anymore. probably in their early 30's, not too into their stuff anymore but they are nice people and Sean definitely skates. have seen some footage of him before

some good fall jamzzzzz

i have a feeling this is going to fly under the radar with a lot of people. i had no idea who daniele luppi is, but thankfully he colaborated with parquet courts and karen o and that was enough for me to check it out. i think this might be the best album ive heard all year and maybe my favorite thing that anyone involved has done. do yourselves a favor and check it out. such a pleasant and fun listen.

Re-listening to the Terrapin Suite including Jack of Roses, that Phil and TxR family did with Robert Randolf at the new Anthem venue in DC last week. Having a hard time with music since moving out of my house where Red Rocks could be heard from the back porch, but the Anthem was neat. Minus the $10-12 bottle, cashless bars. Same dudes who own the 9:30 spot. Great acoustics though. Phil bombs dropped

Damn this is pretty bad:

I kinda miss shitty tribute albums.

Also, another new Burial 2 song release:

I love when I stumble across a Madlib sample-source in the wild.

Oh and
and some bright eyes
what Bright Eyes, specifically?

this one and i picked and chose a bunch from fevers and mirrors and the country album [lifted/story is in the soil].

this one goes too. my buddy's gf died in front of him and he'd listen to this and one above on repeat he told me.

i like this one when you break up w/ a girl you don't care about. 'lighthearted bright eyes'

Ha I always listen to the "Every Day & Every Night" EP a lot in the Fall, as well. "Digital Ash..." too.

They fit the mood of the season.

"I'm Wide Awake It's Morning", was released on my 15th birthday. Might be my favorite album of his.

you're young! i've got conor by a few yrs. that's rad, some girl in hawaii played me 'padriac' and 'sunrise sunset' in maybe 04? long time ago and i loved it but i never knew who this mysterious bright eyes was til i came back to the mainland and listened to 'fevers' and drank every day after a breakup and never got any better. that and lifted came out while i was being depressed.
i only recently listened to 'wide awake' but i dig it too now.
digital ash is ok. not my favorite but props for switching up his style so drastic and it's not bad.
