I meant to bust out some Rick James because last night 'Mary Jane' popped into my head, but sadly, I forgot.

bigwig,,,reclamation

holy fuck, this band fell off the face of the earth. i saw them at club krome many many years ago in south amboy, new jersey. i haven't been to a punk/hardcore show in so long. if the sergio of ten years ago saw today's sergio he would kick the shit out of me.

i went from

listening to This is Boston not LA compilation on a daily basis
swearing by anything jello biafra related. Lard especially
getting hyped on old flipside videos to

to...
disco dancing with girls.  :-X ewww
listening to man parrish, green velvet & basement jaxx

the newest bigwig album "reclamation" is nothing like there old albums,, there a thrash metal band now,, they actually have alot of talent now,, i never liked there punk/hardcore albums,, but there last two records have been more in the thrash metal genre

Good album. I like her voice.
I listened to Metallica- Ride The Lightning

If you like her voice, you might want to check out another one of Rose Melberg's bands (if you already haven't): The Softies. I think their final album, Holiday In Rhode Island, is really good. Honestly, though, that's really the only Softies album that I like, but I like it a lot.

I guess she's done some solo stuff, too, but I haven't heard it yet.

So far for me today:

A compilation called Angels With Dirty Faces. Bands include Blitz, The Partisans, Peter & The Test Tube Babies, and Red Alert.

Another mix cd I just burned for my car ride home. It's all over the place: Stetsasonic, Ministry, Beatles, Air, Slayer, Dabrye, RadioHead, Joy Division, Aphex Twin, Andre N., Pink Floyd, Serge G., Blonde RedHead and a few others.
