My friend showed me crappy punk covers of badass Kris Kristofferson songs. Shit pissed me off.

nah never heard of that, but i'm gonna look for it now.

MS, i've kind of got a thing for the psycho ones.

edit:  you got links to either of those?  just checked out Desire's myspace and its rad.  my synth comes in this week and i'm fiending for this type of shit for inspiration.  downloaded about 10 gigs of italo disco torrents, but the more the better.

edit edit:  fuck it, i just broke down and paid for it.  i pretty much like anything johnny jewel touches.  i think the first time i saw glass candy was in 2000 or so and back then the dude looked like Frankenstein on heroin and their music was just a bunch of noise and screaming.  i never guessed he'd end up making this type of stuff (and that i'd end up liking it)

its all good.  i really didn't mind paying for it.  i've been bumping that shit nonstop since yesterday.  both of those albums are amazing, and just what i've been looking for.

now that i'm totally comfortable with the fact that i like this stuff, feel free to suggest anything that falls in the same vein (italo/electro/carpenter/goblin type stuff.  if i ever start listening to techno/drum and bass/house i'll never forgive myself)

edit: found this rad Bottin video on youtube with footage from Lucio Fulci's "Conquest"

I just heard Spellbound but won't be listening to it anymore today because it always gets stuck in my head and I can't shake that red spiral staircase image right now.
