Popwar
« on: May 15, 2007, 07:45:44 AM »
Just went on their site and it seems like they don't have a team anymore (http://www.popwar.net/). What's happening with them?!.......are they still making boards?
How do you kill someone who has no life?

They only have ams. All the pros and Dennis Durrant have left because of shady dealings and lies with Giant Distribution. It's a damn shame because that company had serious potential.

Wasn't Popwar owned by Cairo Foster and now he rides for Enjoi?  Is Paul Sharpe still the team manager?  I found on the 411 video mag. website that it lists Paul Sharpe's board sponsor as Enjoi.

Bueno Skateboards left Giant recently as well.  I wonder what went down.

I thought evs was team manager for Enjoi?  Isn't Enjoi owned by the same people who own World Industries, Blind, and Almost?

When a company is upened under a distribution the distribution company owns the brand unless there is a patner. For example, Deluxe ownes Krooked but Gonz and Tommy G. have a peice. I don't think Ciaro had a piece, if he did he sold it when he left Popwar.

Giant has been fucked since it got new owners. Not that it's entirely the new owners fault but they haven't helped.

Paul sharpe had the biggest nollies around.
Sorry, sometimes I get overly defensive on that point.

Is there anybody from Enjoi who are partners with the Rodney Mullen and Rocco?  Those are the dudes that really own Enjoi right?

I really liked the team and I was especially hyped when their 411 came out.  It is too bad that they dissolved.

PoopWaR has had many accounts but has had too many concrete shots to the head that has left his memory of all his passwords and usernames blank!
