do you guys really think that his dad had anything to do with his being sponsored? if that's the case, then why isn't lance jr pro for girl right now? LA is full of enough old burn out pro dudes from the 70's, i doubt that any of alex's sponsors got that wet about his dad being steve olson. to make a claim like "he owes his whole career to his dad" or whatever is a pretty big claim. it's cool that they can give eachother shit and all that, but...wait.

that's ridiculous. The only connection he made happen that's proof is that he gave him a skateboard. Sure he owes him for that but honestly don't think his "connects" got him where he's at today. If he didn't like it he would have quit. He was addicted to it like we all were and his hunger got him good. His hunger led him to be around guys that could scope him out and eventually sponsor him. I think by Pat adding his father in the interview just made it even more interesting. I would have done the same thing. That's not to say that if/when he turns pro for girl his dad will get a guest board or somehting. I think the whole thought behind your post is silly and is cracking me up cause I'm buzzed.
