Leftie and regular here as well. Like many others in this thread, I'm a hodgepodge - golf, shoot, bat, and some other activities right handed, while throwing, writing, etc. left handed. For what it's worth, I also pushed mongo in my early days

I'm ambidextrous, but regular footed.
I do 99% of everything with my left hand except for writing, but that's more for convenience than lacking the ability to. I have realized that I skate switch a lot more than I do my normal stance, though.

This would be some seriously rad data to poll and see if there is any correlation.  I've always been curious but look at my friends and nothing correlates.    Not enough left handed people to match the amount of regular footers.

But a simple thing to look up would be what's the rough percentage of left handers in the world.  Its about 10%

I somehow doubt 90% of skaters are goofy but there's still numbers worth looking into to see if there is some relationship/correlation there.

Right handed right foot forward here.

http://www.jenkemmag.com/home/2017/10/12/determines-skate-stance/

not the most scientific approach. Not enough data but it's a start

that jenkem article answers it quite nicely

hand preference -> no correlation to stance (90:10 v. roughly 50:50)

personally:

goofy
right action foot
right stability foot

could never get comfortable with golf clubs/bats/hockey sticks etc. though. instinct would be to set up right foot forward wich feels wrong for the hands, other way round feels wrong cause it's "switch" for the feet :-\

I kick with my left foot but skate regular. This makes sense to me as my stronger foot is the flicking foot. This is the excuse I use for being shit at nollie and switch. I got no control with my right foot. Most people kick with their right foot and skate regular. This means when they try nollie or switch then they are flicking with their stronger foot and can get more control.

I am left handed and skate regular. Always wondered this myself, but I'm kinda all over the place. I throw right handed, scissors left, bat left, hockey stick right handed. Weird shit.

So crazy how randomly the brain works for everyone. I’m left handed writing, left hand batter and pitcher but I use scissors and a paint brush, butcher knife, wrench, screwdriver and hammer right handed and I’m regular.

left and reg gang!

*edit p.s. I too switch hands for various things like table and regular tennis, awful left serve but ace the rights but I blame breaking my left wrist early on for that, plus being taught to play by a righty

Even better, I'm only left-handed for writing, doing anything with a need for fine detail, or jacking it, and I'm regular.

Never understood how my hand situation came to be, since I'm right handed for throwing and most everything else.

I am ambidextrous

Guitar right
Drums right

My dad linked up with the right cougar and well as they say the rest is history. We were hooked up as kids.

Right handed and goofy, always wondered if I just stood on a board wrong the first time. When watching footage of myself, I find I look less switch skating switch and more switch skating natural. In my head tho switch definitely feels harder so who knows.

Lefty regs here. As with others, I'm mixed; write lefty, throw righty, etc. I think we've had this thread before. Still seems pretty un-correlated.

I guess I'd say I'm more right leg dominant. Tre flips do feel much more comfortable than kickflips, but I always figured that's due to the classic tradition of leaving the kickflip to collect rust once you start learning more complex tricks. My switch game feels pretty comfortable, just haven't put enough time into it at all. Switch flips are actually popped higher and way more level, it's just that my right foot is less flexible, doesn't drag as easily so the flip is usually too slow/incomplete.

Edit: Also started mongo, learned to push regs once I read enough mongo hate in the mags, but now have a pretty comfy switch push. Another thing I like is that I can throw the board down with either hand. I saw a thread a couple weeks ago talking about that and I guess some people aren't comfortable with throwing it down with certain hands? I like that I can hold my board with either hand and throw down from there. Though, if I throw down with my right, my back foot tends to get on the board first which can give anyone watching closely a glimpse into my dark mongo past.

Also team lefty regs. I surf goody and learned to surg before I learned to skate which is weird but yeah I'm a pretty mixed bunch for lefty/righty with sports. Cant write for shit right handed though.

Right handed, left legged, regular. As in i kick a ball with my left, i generally see more right legged regular people.

Makes switch backside tricks easy being left legged.

I bat, fap, write, and throw lefty, but anything that takes weird dexterity (putting a small nut onto a bolt, or whatnot) I do with my right hand. I always try to open pickle jars with my right hand, then remember I am left handed and it pops.

Definitely right legged, though. My left leg feels useless most of the time.

Are you good at nollie tricks?

Same here. Although I found out I can write with both hands just fine.

I know it might not mean shit but I'm intrigued.
I can push switch a little still trying to get the hang of it. My main goal atm is to not being so heavy on my feet when I pop.

How do most people here hold a bat/club or anything that requires two hands? I'm predominantly right footed and handed, however anything requiring both hands (with the exception of guitar) I'll hold it left handed and am also goofy footed too.
