Congratulations Sleazy! I'm not going to lie, it'll be a long 9 months.
my sister just gave birth, so i got a taste of what it's like

my wife is a bit of a fitness freak so i am hoping that will help things go a little smoother and she is doing a real good job of being proactive about the know pregnancy issues. like for nasuia she just making sure her diet is on point, etc...

i'm more worried about the life changing event that happens when a mother first hold her child. hopefully i won't be trading my liberal, open minded, sexy wife in for a bloated, judgemental, apathetic, over protective, bitchy, demanding mother but i guess only time will tell.

When we got preggers I moved from a place on Kirby to The Woodlands! The inevitable happens when you move there.

we've been in the "should we have kids" negotiations for years now. and we dated for 8 years before i popped the question, so on some level i think my wife is just stoked that i am willing to do this step with her. i know there are no garuntees due to the unknowns associated with the personality change that happens the first time a mother holds her baby but lets just say my wife knows real well what lifestyle consessions I'm not willing to make. it was extremely important for me to be able to maintain my lifestyle and not have to slip into suburban hell lifestyle. I'm not willing to be a provider who gives up everything, commutes 2 hours a day and only gets the big piece of chicken for all the sacrifices. one of my requirements was no suburbs in Houston. We got it planned out now so that we will stay in areas of town that non-parents would want to live for now and before our kid(s) are school age the plan is to move to austin which isn't as spread out.

i also negotiated a "keep burning" clause, "stay sexy" clause and a "keep skating on the daily" clause. the "keep skating on the daily" is sort of dependent on me making enough to pay for daycare and baby sitting and currently the buget says no problem. who would of thought that all those years of studying would eventually just be so that i could have extra time to skate, true irony there.

i've also spent years getting my wife stoked on our relationship and hopefully she won't stop caring about that once the kid comes, fingers crossed...

Good call on the move to Austin. We got burned on the commute quickly, and thus moved to CO (SODO). I actually skate more now it seems because Mother and Daughter have to do girly stuff I'm not allowed to partake in. On the body note: bike riding is our thing for that. We still drink. It can work. If the years seemed to fly by before multiply by 10.
i'm not really sweating the body stuff too much. my wife is like an asian woman except with bigger boobs. part of it is her metabolism but she is also extremely obsessive about fitness and very body conscious. i really can't imagine her being complacent about letting her appearance go.the whole 10 years i've known her, her body has been pretty much the same and she has been so committed to the work it takes to maintain it. her dieting will is pretty amazing, i don't really know anyone who can step to her commitment there. and i don't want to come off like a chauvinist ass, i am just as dedicated to not letting myself go. last thing i want is to be the fatass at the beach with the milf.

we basically have thought\talked about everything positive and negative about family lifestyle and are trying our hardest to create a lifestyle that doesn't suck for us. i really can't get behind the it's all about the kids attitude because if the parents are miserable pieces of shit, kids probably won't turn out so well anyway...

Ian Mcharg's masterplanned community.  That place channels water runoff like no other, and protects aquifers!  It was supposed to be idyllic, did it work?

I went to Kona Skatepark's 30th Anniversary party last Saturday and it was amazing! I saw Tony Hawk, Mike Mcgill, and Sergie Ventura skate vert and I met Christian Hosoi, Ray Barbee and Chuck Treece. It was all pretty sureal.
I shot a picture of my friend Ola with Hosoi cause he's a huge fan of his.

Anyways, after that photo was taken,  Ola (for lack of a better object) handed Hosoi his PBR beer huggy to sign cause he wanted an autograph. Later that night when we were drinking at the bar he noticed that  Hosoi wrote "JESUS RULES" above his signature. I found this funny.
