I have a vintage Marc Johnson A-team tech deck. I got it in a 10 cents bin at a garage sale.

I played with the fucking things everday in grade 6. My teacher still has 2 that he permanently confiscated.

When I was like 14 we would make our own fingerboards or play with those little red ones that came from McDonalds. I think they came with a Kermit figurine.

I just found one that I made 20 years ago. It's a custom Caballero.

The method back then was to glue together multiple plys of thin cardboard. Then cut the shape. Find some graphics you liked in a magazine and glue that shit on the bottom "ply". Then you would use a pencil eraser and the frame from a model car to make trucks. Glue that shit on and then bust an old matchbox apart and glue the wheels to the "trucks". Ad some griptape and you're ready to rip. if you really wanted to get tech you could use wooden match sticks and add rails to it. I won't even get into the ramps we used to make for those things... kids now have it made... on second thought, the old way was prob more fun.

Mr. Hapredingli and I used to do the same thing,only without trucks and let the board float on the windstream of an upwards directed ventilator,then we would try for hours to make easy tricks like shoveits and stuff. And as for minidecks with trucks,we used to build streetspots with handrails out of Kaplabricks,and glue, the rails and copings were made of steelwires...oh yeah,kaplas are so cool, look at the cool stuff you can build with this:

Write that on the list of stuff I would want during the 10 years in the white room!!!

haha I was one of those guys. I could do pretty much anything. Those things killed it in middle school. So good to play with in class on text books and binders. They actually got officially banned at my school.

Once in awhile i'll rock one at the shop when i'm bored or whatever. More annoying now than anything, just hearing that sound over and over. Got pretty good when i broke my foot back in high school, haha i had a park set up in my room. Anyway this was way before the whole tech deck parks and mega ramps etc etc.

i used to be able to do an "ollie" with a tech deck but then one day my had froze. it is the weirdest thing. its like i have a mental block or something; i just cant get my hand to pop the tail. it is very frustrating.

one time i had this dream i woke up in my room and it was my normal room but there was a tech deck on the bed beside me and everytime i tried to walk to the kitchen i would get whooshed back into waking up in bed and did it like 40 times before i actually woke up.

I've got switch everything down, even back tails if I'm lucky.

Those 8-stairs they sold are sick if you rip one of the rails out so you can angle your tricks better.

I remember switch front tail fs heel, fs biggie heel, and fs flip out on a dvd case.
