Almost died twice last Wednesday. I was driving from Berkeley to Los Angeles and a big-rig started merging into me, I slam on my brakes and start fishtaling all over the place going about 75, flew into the gravel median and spun out to a stop. Survived that. Then that night I am filming a friend fisheye, I take a step back into the gutter (the spot was on a sidewalk of a busy street without a bike lane) and feel a car slightly graze my backside going at least 40. Survived that as well.

I had a few moments like that, it's the craziest feeling. I fell skating going full speed on the road by my house going to the corner store and I hit this weird oil slick and fell over the middle lane and a car was within like 4 or 5 inches of my head going 35. It was the most bizarre feeling, all I could do was laugh. I drizzled my pants a little also.

Walking down the street last night, and some random guy driving by slowed down, leaned out the window, shouted 'Hey Skater!' and give me a thumbs up.  I guess he must have seen the damage on the side of my shoes somehow while he wasn't watching the road.

there is some kind of beer-raffle here where you can win free beer with the bottle-caps. some friends of mine found out that a certain combination of numbers always wins something. they checked every goddamn supermarket in the larger area and are at about 1200 free beer right now.
thanks to that my girlfriend puked 2h yesterday night.

It appears I have a stage I strain of my left quadracept at the Rectus Femoris.  Stoked its not worse, not stoked because there is no way I'll be able to stay off the board long enough for this to heal completely and am pretty sure I'm going to be stuck in a cycle of rehabbing and re-injuring it until December.

Like a girl enough to ask her on a date.

I'm going home for 3 months on Friday. Puts me in that "Why bother?" state.

This one started out NOT stoked but then i GOT stoked
at how well this Joe guy proved that the problems of longboards construction and geometry isn't the only side of the issue.
Am I ever going to stop arguing about longboards on the internet?
well, THIS argument is over
but no. I won't.

My ex came to 'da' skatepark, I tucked my penis inside myself and left quickly. Came back in a half hour and my friends laying in handcuffs and 5 other guys got $220 tickets and had beers and bud taken away by pigs, kinda glad I missed out on that.

10 mins later some drunk shithead youths show up and shatter a bottle in the park, we ask them not to do that. Naturally they go off and stupid threats are exchanged, jackets and sweaters are taken off, and everyones in eachother faces. It was actually kind of strange, my friends are super relaxed normally and just keep to ourselves, but everyone had pent up frustration from the pigs, so they were pretty riled up. Nothing ended up happening, just made collective fools of ourselves. Its also sad that this is exciting to me.

So you had to quit smoking and coffee for finding blood in your mucus?  That shit happened to me last winter and they just gave me some pills.

I really dislike lazy mash up words like the berrics or spanglish etc. Its cold and rainy for the last week, and the 10 day forecast has rain every day coming up.so everyone keeps saying 'oh its junuary' and making faces like disturbed guy.

I'm supposed to go to bed right now (have to wake up at 4:30am for work) but I just opened a pint of Stone IPA. Don't feel like finishing it but it did cost me like 5 dollars. I've got no choice but to finish it.

I feel ya on that one man.. I have an English exam tomorrow morning, which i have my alarm set for 7am for, and i just cracked open an Arizona green tea and I'm not tired whatsoever...

Anyways, something more on-topic...I found out today that my graduation ceremony is on go skateboarding day. Stoked I'm finally graduating but not stoked on not being able to skate all day with the homies...

Also, my mom quit her job due to personal issues and is leaving town for work, which means that me and my dad cant afford to stay in our current house, so we're moving to stay with my pop in the next city over. I don't drive so I'm not stoked on leaving where all my friends and my girl are at. Not to mention there's a practically brand new skate park within skating distance of my current house, and the closest skate park to my pops house is at least a 20 minute drive...not stoked. But what I am stoked on is the opportunity to meet new people and experience life in a different setting and atmosphere.

Its a terrifying thought, and sad that it has to come to this, but I think we could and should pretty much get skateboarding legalized anywhere in the US by harnessing the power of the dark side and unleashing Justin Bieber and a few hundred thousand screaming teenage girls+their parents upon the related city halls.  Its a force no city council could stand against.

The girl I've been hanging out with made me a journal/sketchbook for my birthday. She works at some paper store so she bound it herself and whatnot. This is cool and all but, I'm not a writer, nor do I draw much, and it's large and hardcovered. So its too big to put in my pocket and make use as a notepad.

i think i'm finally ready to cut a toxic person out of my life, but doing so is going to put years of hard work and pretty much everything i care about in certain jeopardy.  still, its like a cancer that needs to be cut out.  i know the answer is right in front of me, but i just can't find it.

skating is all about choosing your outfit very deliberately, going out in public. looking super sick. and then riding your board a little bit
