i've been waiting for a hard skateboard game to drop for ages. skating is hard and you spend most of your time trying the same trick over and over and then your stoked when you get it. so why not have the game the same way?

how about transition? is it actually easier to do a real line than rediculous stuff? like could you do a park grom line with a bunch of stalls that just roll straight in?

I think that transition is one of the more difficult thinks to master in the demo, since you actually have to pump and all. But yes, you can do stalls, rock and rolls, blunts, and all that. Like I said though it is difficult to learn at first, just like getting a specific grind that you want on a rail or whatever is hard. It is probably easier to do an air at first then a stall. You get so hyped when you learn new stuff though, just like real skating.

You have to push just slightly up or down on the right stick. It is tricky at first, especially to trick in or out of, takes some finesse.

I've been playing this demo to death, can't wait for the full game. Did two kickflip backside smiths in a row down the right hand side high rail where the photo chump says "do a flip grind" or whatever. In the final version you can get online sessions and stuff, if you can get clans like you used to in Amped then we should totally get a Slap squad on the go. skate is really like a cross between Amped and Thrasher coming to think of it. Still wondering how you're gonna do no complys, bonelesses, maybe crailslides and stuff, I guess all will be revealed soon enough. Not out til September 21st here in the UK, gonna be a harsh wait.

Ive been waiting for so long for the demo to come out on PS3 this thursday, cause thats when they do their online updates, but if it dosnt come im gonna be so fucking choked.

Its really annoying how you have to go through the same tutorial before you play the game, this game sucks if you have to play with someone else to, watching someone else play is excrutiating

To do pivots in manuals Dill style, rotate the left analogue stick through a 180 arc from left to right when you're in a manual.

Doesn't work, got a kind of happy accident though, it does make your guy crouch down which makes some tricks look better. I've uncovered a few techniques to make tricks look better too:

When doing 360s, 180 flips etc, use the boning/tweaking with the right analogue to make it look more 'real', like for instance in a bs 360, you can push up on the right analogue as you come in to the middle 180 to give it the tail drag which usually happens, then pull back on the stick to give it a pivoty look. Looks amazing when done properly on the flat.

Also, although the tricks look the same switch and regular, if you do a quick 180 or come out of a rail to fakie, yo can trick the computer in to thinking you're still going forwards, then do the motion for a nollie heelflip and out comes an amazing looking switch heel. [/nerd]

I just discovered this today too. You can just pivot around when you are rolling too (not in a manual I mean) if you want to get going in the other direction.
