switch barley grinds, a fuckin weird one, maybe it's stupid whatever. i'll take what i can get at this point.

i'm jealous of pabst.

yo I do those too, once you start thinking of them as overturned, exaggerated switch boardslides coming from the right angle and with the right wind up they become so easy and fun. Pabst isn't wrong about b/s 360 out, I've been doing it with b/s 180 out a lot (it's pretty easy too, basically the same motion as sw 180 manny b/s 180 because you're sitting on the back foot) at a spot with slippery ground and every time I'd try to get a good one with a poor attempt at some kind of pop out it would just overturn and throw me into b/s 360, never landed it but the motion isn't as far-fetched as the name of the trick makes it sounds like. I'm sure you could start trying them already (b/s 180 then try to exaggerate it) and you'll be surprised.

a bunch of random ones i've clung onto lately

bs flips fairly consistently
tres reg/fakie fairly consistently
nollie bs bigspin/3shuv (very worst trick but someone done it to me in a game of skate so i had to get em)
bs half cab flips fairly well and full cabs on occasion
back 3 no complies but they come and go
that one fakie pop shove switch 180 no comply jerome did in a polar vid years ago
got a half cab manny back 180 on a decent pad
been trying wallie 180s but no dice, closest i get is just a 90' wallie

stepping away from skating tranny for a minute was definitely good for me.

Relearned sw f/s bigspin noseslide because I want to try and learn sw f/s pop shove-it crooked grind. Did one with a 270 out by accident when all I really want to learn eventually is to spin out the other way so it's just sw f/s shove nose back to fakie (and then crooked grind)

Shit, props! Any of those tricks is impressive, whether you’ve done them before or not.

Just this weekend I landed my first / learnt a trick I had in mind for ages on a bank to ledge ; approaching fs but fakie, fakie flip switch fs 5050, I did a little bs fakie ollie out of it back into the bank too for added flava flav.  Not a trick I’ve seen done very often if at all and I’m still buzzing from landing it on Saturday.

Asides from that I got a few coping / stall tricks, footplant fakie, fs sweeper, blunt one foot then nosegrab out. Fun day of skating.
I'm going to argue that Placebo owes their entire career to a Canadian dude's skate video part. Appleyard should be getting royalties for this shit.

Backside blunt-slide front shove to fakie (on a bank)

Feels easier/safer than straight blunt slide to fakie...

Hardflip, landed a few but not consistent at all yet. Easier on a flatbank for some reason?

DAMN, comment made me this he had died!
just retired... Rad style that guy had

In the spirit of the thread, i quit drinking for a bit around 3 years ago and learnt bigflips, last real progression.
Aside from that every skate these days is an effort to re-learn lost tricks

I relearned front board to switch bs 5 0s. They're the funnest trick and you don't need jump high to do them which I like.

i've always had this odd fear of fs tricks on tranny owing to when i first tried to learn fs 5050s and hung up going in, so everytime id do front 5050, 5-0 etc i'd take it to tail instead. found this mellow quarter and somewhat learned proper fs 5-0s and yanking 5050s in. was fucking around the other day and figured out the motion to bring fakie smiths back in and then from that learned to go back in properly on front 5050s, 5-0s and feebles along with those but in fakie, fakie smith 270, alley oop grinded fakie fs 5050s? and then nearly folded my ankle somehow trying to 270 in from that. hit the park again today and learned what i guess is fakie fs hurricane? pretty hyped it's nice to see some progression.
