My last new trick wasn't really something I learned so much, as it was something I just never fucked with but wound up getting on my second try... on transition and bank-to-curb... back feeble to frontside 180 back in. Not a hard trick, but one I overlooked. Stoked on it though.

like a hurricaine/fs rock but stalling? that's a gooden'

I don't know if I'd say I learned it, but I did 3 fs lotti spins in one day. Like a "grape flip" but without a flip. It's pretty dorky, but it felt kinda cool
I rarely venture into classic slap and the one time I do it I find a guy getting his dick eaten by a dolphin.

It's been a while. I remember I learned nollie front boards and frontside hurricanes to fakie over the summer, but I can't remember what it was after that.

Yeah yeah... I think Drehobl does one on a concrete transition to wall (with a lip) for an ad in the last Thrasher. Fun shit, and like you brought up, if you got FS rocks (and back feeble stalls) you can do them, just got to get wound up when you lock it on the coping.

I love the way some tricks hide in plain site until you realize you can do them if you just... do them.

I find that especially true with miniramp trickery

Hell yeah! Mini and transition in general is really organic like that... it's like you can learn one trick, and if you dial it you can walk out with three or four variations of it. Love that shit.
