The sounds scarier, it might just be you, but I've never tried it either. I learned how to do those little board taps at the end of ledges, I don't know what they're called.

anyone got advice for back d's.i dont know whether to just slide it up there or kinda pop into it.

I think its way easier to just jam into them. Kinda like doing a bs powerslide on flat and then shift your weight back. Def agree on not doing the pivot off the nose. That shit looks terrible.

I just started trying the back d, what a fun trick...doesn't seem too hard, I like to just pop a little bit. the trick is the moment when you unweight - just finding your board and putting your weight where it needs to be. I was kind of surprised how easily that trick came to me, maybe a week or so

does it count as learning a trick if you just kinda land on it and happen to roll away once in a while?  i don't think it should.  any way, i've landed on and sort of rolled away from a few swiss backal big flips as of late.  if all goes well (it never goes well) i should actually have them soon.

Learnt Back tail bigspin out yesterday. I can't roll away with much speed but I'm stoked as hell, I've wanted that trick for so long.

switch and nollie hardflips.

i used to try them all regular with my popping foot on the very corner of the tail and flick it around as hard as possible, all wrong. put the popping foot flat, 90 degrees to the board covering half of the front bolts (for nollie) and just let it unfold. definitely a trick that if you try and force it, not gonna happen. if you find the sweet spot, it's minimal effort for sure

fs flips. Always seemed impossible to me, but about 20 minutes of actually comitting to it did the trick. I hope I can still do them next session...

I'm just trying to relearn everything. It's surprising what taking 2 weeks off will do to you haha. For some reason I'm popping most things higher now  ???

as far as new stuff goes, I've actually been popping fakie bigspins lately which makes the trick a lot more fun.

whenever i dont skate for a week or two, i have alot more motivation to land new tricks, or atleast try something new.i think its fun to re learn basic tricks every now and then, it deffinetly helps get things on lock and look cleaner.

that wasn't in response to you saying the other guy was totally right.  it was in self reference to me correcting the term "fakie full cab" as two people have already done it.  in other words, my contribution was redundant.

Ah. And yeah I was just under the impression that Nollie rotations were also considered half-cab/cabs. I wasn't going to admit that, though, earlier... my e-pride must have been too big. But yeah, maybe I was wrong. Either way... doesn't matter I suppose.
