I don't understand them, everyone who rides them looks awkward, doesn't seem to be goignthat fast, has to stop at curbs to pick it up, and replace it on igher ground. you always see these college kids, with shell necklaces, newly found political views and just outright kooks riding them.

I see people that do either one of those (or both) at my college every day and it never seems to stop me from laughing out loud at them.

Same goes for the off road wheels skateboard crowd.  Saw a guy eat it twice on a regular board with monster truck wheels within a 5 second span right in front of the campus center during lunch time and the second time was while getting up from the first one.

Probably fun but for the most part you can do all the same stuff on a regular board and not get lumped in with the demographic.

A few years ago some friends and I were talking about longboards. I said that the only people who rode them were guys who couldn't  skate a regular board and girls. Then it started to rain so we went to a parking garage. After a few minutes being there we could hear people skating a few levels up. A minute later the awkwardest looking guy ever and a girl came rolling by on longboards.
