I chipped my front two teeth two days ago doing a regular kick flip back tail that I had no chance of landing anyway, I shot out and my face slammed against the concrete.

Projected dental cost: 1,595.00$

It doesn't even hurt and I actually like the way it looks, but I guess i'll have them fixed.

Kinda insane when you think about it, sixteen hundred for faking the funk.

I've been thinking about tatooing "Love Hurts" together with a board or something, mostly cause i'm wack, but also because it's true...
I'll probably never do it because I think it's kinda corny and would be over it after a day or two

I credit carded this summer trying to kickflip a backpack.  My sack was bruised for weeks.

A few summers ago I was pushing around on a wharf with a beer bottle, hit a pebble, and fell down resulting in 7 stitches to my palm.  My friends drove me to the doctor, my mom met us there and gave my buddy 20 bucks for giving me a lift.  We then went to the dealer and bought 20 bucks worth of grass.  Then we went to a party and I got really fucked up on booze, weed, and chemicals.  A night to remember for sure.  Although I don't remember most of it.

I've posted this on here before, but I have a big X shaped scar near my right eyebrow due to a skin infection/disease I got from wearing a rented helmet.

when i was learning how to skate, my board popped up and knocked my two top front teeth out.
the first time i had ever skated a legit pool, i ended up falling from the top of the wall straight to flat. my wrist was broken for eight months
after skating our former local indoor park for a few hours one day, i tripped running and jumping onto my board. i popped my finger out of place like justing eldridge in yeah right
i was bombing a hill at a commuter rail station just as people were getting off the train and i got hit by a car. i went flying and slid pretty far. i got up laughing and everyone that had just got off the train were looking at me all shocked that i was able to even get up
i thought that i could pop up a curb and manual this grass gap up to a ledge. i got pitched forwards and hit my head right behind my ear. because i had a concussion i wasn't supossed to skate for a couple of weeks, but a week later i tried to skate this bench at mcdonalds and stuck instantly. i flew head first into a different ledge and got hit in the same exact spot on the other side of my head, yet again getting another concussion

i once broke my ankle stepping off my board. landed trick coming out fakie, step of my board and right into some fuckin hole..........SNAP!

During my sophomore year, a week before pictures were taken for the yearbook, I pushed my board out in front of me and went to step on it, but tripped, shooting it straight into face. It took a huge chuck of skin off my forehead

i once tried to use being nice to a kooky kid as an opener to get at his super hot milf.    the kid had been fakieing back and forth on the mini, so i thought, "i'll teach the kid to drop in, mom will be stoked at the nice dude that was helping her kid, and i'll be golden.."

roll up to junior, introduce myself, ask if he wants to learn to drop in, he says ok, so i climb up on deck and show him a couple times, stressing the whole "lean forward" thing, over-exaggerating just how much to lean forward, so he hopefully doesn't do the typical drop-in-stand-right-up-and-zing-out thing that pretty much everyone does the first time the try to drop in on something. after showing him a few times, telling him, "remember lean wayyy forward..."  i overdid my body too much and went right over the front dropping, piling hard on the flat.

needless to say, i didn't fuck the milf.

one night me lee yankou swell and other homies went out bombing hills in white rock all night, 4 of us were getting towed up the hill my friend in front of me was holding on to the front window was trying to manual up the whole hill and got speed wobble hit the curb going 30, i was behind him, the car ran over his foot over, my board ran into his head, i forgot to let go of the car window cause it all happened to fast and i got dragged by the car for a good 5 feet let go and flew another 5-7 feet,

i broke my nose skating a 4 stair when i was like 10  years old i kickedflipped, didnt commit landed with my foot on the tail board came up and got the truck in the nose.

the first day i learned how to drop in i was so hyped that i went back at night and it was pitch black
i go to drop in, hit a rock, smash my chin got a couple stitches.

about 2 years ago i was trying to ollie from the top of a bank to the bottom but it was really skinny, i ollied landed in a 50-50, smashed my chin in the same spot, but didnt go to the hospital

Sprained my knee really really bad when I was 21 (3 years ag0) trying to re-do a kf down an fairly rugged 8 set (lame).I had put my hand down on the first land  Sprained my MCL then twisted my knee several times over the next year or so. Now I just have a shitty knee, that can't be operated on. I basically can still skate, but no real stairs or gaps for me, tranny ledges, skateparks and flatground for me. I felt dumb cause I was skaitng with younger kids that were going for it, and I thought I would too. Its on my mind everytime I skate, cause I wear a brace just to go skate anything

couple days ago i tried to frontboard a flatbar id been sliding perfectly all night, stopped dead at the end, put my hand behind me to break my fall and broke my fucking wrist instead. went to the doctors the yesterday and got hooked up with a ticket to surgery and an awesome splint that comes off for the surgery then they put the real cast on.

I just had all that exact same shit done about 4 months ago.
They took a small fragment of my hip bone out and put it into my wrist, leaving me 2 gnarley scars, one for my hip and one for my wrist.
The first few days are nothing but intense pain. My wrist and hand has not felt the same since. Be prepared for about 3 months or more in a cast, its one of the worst breaks to heal. The actual 100% healing time is over 9 months.

i got another one:

i was 13-14 on a family trip in the northwest, we were in portland, my mom dad and brother dropped me off at burnside while they went to explore the city. I hadn't skated much tranny then, and within about 45 minutes i was at the bottom of the small bowl with a broken wrist.

and i cried. hard.

i think the deaf black skater guy that shreds that  place was there that day too, at least he didn't hear my screams

someones mom called 911, apparently the ambulance place for portland is right across the street, they pulled over and boy were my parents in for a surprise when they showed up




anyone else find it funny that the worst pains you get skating are the boards to the shins?

i'd easily take a broken bone over a tail batted into my shin. which seems to happen every other time i skate nearly

i was ollieing over a chain, off a loading dock.  i'd already done it a couple of times when on one attempt my friend's board shot out, hit the chain, whipping it up over both my feet.  i fell about 6ft directly onto my temple.  got a severe concussion and memory loss.  i was so jacked, i looked like the fucking elephant man, and the month or so before was gone, which was funny cause i had mad girl drama happening at the time and couldn't remember which girl was my girlfriend...

my friend got knifed in the sack by his board trying to ollie a 3 set years back. went back a few days later when he could walk again, did it again way worse and was bleeding through his pants. never skated again

I've a couple of funny ones;

I was injured by a small plastic bottle of orange juice once and still have a scar running from a corner of my mouth; we'd all gone to do a demo at this coastal town, all was hooked up for us including hotels. Great night of free drinks, but of course the hotel fell through. The driver had pulled a girl so there were about 6 of us having to find places to sleep. I have a sleeping bag, so I find these bushes and sleep inside them (oh, and when I woke saw graffiti everywhere basically saying it was a gay rapists alley "anyone coming here will be buggered" etc was daubed all over the place- so it could have been much much worse).
At about 4 am I get woken in the dawn by a fierce rainstorm, so stagger off to find shelter. I had no money, no food, but fortunately a small plastic bottle of orange juice which I'd tucked away in the sleeping bag with me, so I go to open that. Now it seems orange juice ferments when in a hot sleeping bag, and as soon as I open the bottle the cap shoots into my face at 100 mph, leaving the aforementioned permanent scar. Loved that morning, loved it!

I've got a pretty nasty curved scar above my right eye too. I was living near Marseilles at the time, and went to a party where I got absolutely steamed. At about 4am (again) I set off for home, down all these flights of stairs which went on forever besides these tall buildings. I had my board with me, so after a while decide to go down the wheelchair ramps. These led on to a narrow downhill path which was in absolute pitch darkness, and I remember distinctly standing on my board completely shitfaced thinking "I'm getting pretty bad speed wobbles and can't see anyhting, I should put a foot down or something sometime soon" when I hit the chain which had been put across the path at the end at mid-shin height. Of course I pitched miles onto my head and knocked myself out. Came to in a pool of blood; I wore glasses at the time, and had basically dirven one of the lenses into my skull; I remember just looking dumbly at the blood jsut pouring out of my face. Had to walk a couple of miles to mine with a sacrificed t-shirt round my head and my face a mask of blood, when I looked in the mirror I could properly see my skull. The hospital was another 5 miles away and I had no money, so would have had to walk it and was in no state to, so I slept in my tourniquet and went in the morning...

As for skate injuries when actually skating, well I've had quite a few as well but the stories aren't as funny!
